MissionKindergarten and primary education is undergoing a sea change
Today, the process of child-centered education, of formal and informal types, is undergoing a paradigm shift. Both in urban and rural India, the backdrop itself is changing form that of a congenial home environment to a formal, often bordering on the chaotic, classroom regimen. The process begins far too early as well, much to the deprivation and bewilderment of the child. Consequent to this changing scenario, the key role players, namely, the young parents and the teaching fraternity, are also finding themselves exposed and ill-equipped to handle the delicate process and all-important stage of foundation learning at the kindergarten and primary levels. The teaching materials presented under the banner, ‘Learner’s Choice’, are a modest effort to bridge that void through a series of appropriate products, beginning with a wide range of activity-based story books. Moving on to attractive colouring exercise sheets for the toddler from the pre-KG level to workbooks for the primary stages, imparting early learning of English language, number concept, general knowledge and, of course, good handwriting skills. All borne out of the work experience of a school teacher with over three decades in the educational field.
