Auto Headlight Sensors

Headlights are switched on Automatically when a sensor determines that it is dark, without the driver touching the controls. The headlights also go off automatically when the sensor determines that brightness levels have increased or that the vehicle has been shut off.

This feature assists in tunnels, rainy weather and long dusk periods where the human light perceptions change.

Courtesy light delay enables the driver to see to insert the ignition key and find the seatbelt when it is dark outside, without having to leave the door open. When the car door is opened, the cabin lights do light up but as soon as the door is closed, the lights go out. This happens just when you are about to get settled into the seat. Not only do the lights remain on, the Cabin Light extender also has a classy feature such that the lights fade out at the end of the timing period instead of a sudden switch off.

The final feature of this new design is its ease of installation. Past courtesy light delay circuits have presented real problems for installation because of the various wiring combinations for courtesy lights in modern cars.

Purpose
Inductive rotational-speed sensors of this type are suitable for numerous applications involving the registration of rotational speeds. Depending on design, they measure engine speeds and wheel speeds for ABS systems, and convert these speeds into electric signals.

The sensor generates one output pulse per tooth. The pulse amplitude is a function of the air gap, together with the toothed ring's rotational speed, the shape of its teeth, and the materials used in its manufacture. Not only the output-signal amplitude increases with speed, but also its frequency. This means that a minimum rotational speed is required for reliable evaluation of even the smallest voltages.

A 'missing tooth' on the gear makes it possible not only to perform rotational speed measurement, but also to determine the gears position.

When the brake is applied, the CHMSL illuminates, notifying drivers that the vehicle is braking and caution should be exercised by decreasing speed. This light is designed to help safeguard the vehicle from being struck from behind.

Ordinary Incandescent bulbs are prone to fusing, take at least 300ms to light up. This means a distance of over 50 mtrs when braking from 80kmph. Comparatively, LEDs have an on period of 1.5ms and a life exceeding that of the vehicle itself, all this at fraction of the power of ordinary bulbs.

LEDs represent a new light source for automotive lighting. Their small size, powerful light emission, extreme reliability, low energy requirement and long lifespan support the widely held view that LEDs are 'the technology of the future for automotive lighting.' In fact, the incandescent bulb is headed for extinction if not already extinct.

LEDs have better viewability in poor weather. And, because they last 100 times longer than an incandescent bulb, outliving their host vehicle, they can be installed and forgotten. The result? Greater peace of mind for the customer!

Purpose

Design & Function
J.P.Tools bimetal thermostat product line consists of Single-Pole, Single Throw (SPST) hermetic and non-hermetic thermostats, including lowsilhouette subminiature thermostats and thermalswitches. These products are also defined by their ability to reliably maintain precision temperature tolerances or high amperage electrical loads.

Bimetal thermostats are snapaction devices designed to operate in extreme conditions, such as exposure to hazardous substances, dust particles and liquid immersion. Purpose
For the ECU to control the AFR and keep it within tight limits

GREEN - Every Auto manufacturers dream and mantra. It is now mandatory for the amount of pollution produced by motor vehicles to be reduced. In order to encourage this, governments have introduced tougher and tougher exhaust
gas emission regulations.

The most popular method used by vehicle manufacturers has been the three-way catalyst. This device converts the main pollutants in the exhaust gas to less harmful gasses. However, the three-way catalyst only works efficiently if the air-fuel ratio can be kept within very tight limits. This is where the O2 sensor fits into the picture.

The O2 sensor is typically situated in the exhaust manifold just before the three way catalyst. The central element of the
O2 sensor is exposed to the exhaust gas.

The oxygen sensor continually detects the oxygen content in the exhaust gas. Its output signal is connected to the ECU and changes to indicate a rich or lean fuel mixture. Through its output signal, the sensor "informs" the ECU if the vehicle is running rich or lean. The ECU uses the information supplied to it by the sensor to decide whether it needs to strengthen or weaken the fuel mixture to achieve optimum air-fuel ratio. This is referred to as closed loop control because the output (oxygen content in the exhaust gas) is measured and fed back to the controller (ECU) which can then correctly control the fuel mixing system. By ensuring that the mixture strength is always correct both combustion and catalyst efficiency are optimized.

Purpose The manifold absolute pressure sensor (MAP) detects the pressure of air - drawn into the engine cylinder. The manifold air temp sensor(MAT) measures the temperature. Can also be used for Barometric pressure.

DESIGN & FUNCTION

The MAP utilises a cutting edge sensor and a processing circuit (ASIC) directly mounted to the case, resulting in small size. The processing circuit is integrated with a noise filter for static electricity and electromagnetic waves, minimizing the number of connections.

The Monocrystalline silicon pressure sensors ,though manufactured with semiconductor technology, they also operate on the resistive principle.

The resistance change in these semiconductor (a piezoelectric effect) is substantially higher than that in standard strain gauges, whose resistance changes with geometrical changes in the structure. Conductivity in a doped semiconductor is influenced by a change (compression or stretching of the crystal grid) that can be produced by an extremely small mechanical deformation. As a result, the sensitivity of our sensors is higher than that of most other types.
