Warehouse / Production CapacityJS Farms is engaged in agriculture of disease free quality seed potatoes on an area of 2000-2500 (approx) acres of owned as well as leased land from farmers, resulting in production of over 30,000 tons of high quality potato seed annually which is preserved in self-owned Cold Store located on NH-1 Pathankot Road. JS farms supplies potato seed directly to several customers in numerous regions including the Gujrat, West Bengal, Karnataka, Maharastra, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and many more. Our customers are extremely happy with our product quality and purity and express their confidence and gratitude at continuous intervals.
Quality Policy / ProcessesAt JS farms we believe in the philosophy of 'Total Quality Management'. We have a separate quality control department in our production unit that is responsible for various quality checks under the supervision of experienced professionals from scientists. To ensure that quality is assured at every stage, we subject each seed lot to several tests, such as physical, physiological genetic, seed- health, purity test, soil test, etc. apart from stringent field inspection.
All the potato seed supplied by us are obtained from the reliable source and are multiplied as per the seed plot technique at our own farm under our technical staff's supervision. Expert guidance from the scientist of central potato research Station, Jalandhar Punjab & central research institute of Shimla, is obtained from time to time. Our farm is situated at Jalandhar, which is known for the best natural agro climatic endowments for the production of disease free potato seed. Every tuber before it is sown at our farm, is carefully selected, given fungicide treatment to prevent any attack of seed borne diseases, every potato seed is given certain treatment of sprays and kept at certain temperature at our cold stores so that it should give good results for the better yield. Thereafter, soil application of systematic insecticides combined with a number of foliar sprays, ensures to ward off any dangers of viral infection. All off type plants are prompyly roughed out to give you the best varietal purity. Potato seed thus produced is scienctifaclly cured, graded and stored in our own supervision and personal care. We always endeavor to produce for you the best potato seed. The tubers stock is treated with aglol mercuric compound(s) as post harvest technology ie phorate (thermit is applied to check spread of aphids & other sucking parasites so as to gea least change vegetables growth (haulms) are cut before appearance of tphids. The crop is twice properly of any degenerated and off type plants.
