Our manufactured Indian Quilts have the same quality of cotton all over. Good desi stuff but nothing exceptional. The trick lies in the carding. They card away all the dross to get the finest fibers. Very often, while designing the quilts, the master weaver recites the pattern, that he has committed to memory. The weave is in single knots, in a manner that creates the illusion of doubling the knots. The variations in a hand-woven quilt make it exciting, as against the persistent similarity of the machine product. Embossed designs are made in single pastel colors. The floral embossed work is available in many soft colors like pinks, pale blues, sea greens, beige and ivory.

They are adorned with embroidery, applique, patchwork and distinct flawless finishing that adds to their aesthetic look. They are the result of meticulous cutting, arrangement and hand-piecing with the painstaking needlecraft of yesteryears. Rich fabrics such as silk, cotton, satin etc may be used to make quilts. Polyfill, feather and surgical cotton are usually used as filling materials.
