Sourcing India Adds 'RaffaT from Australia [23-MAY-08] The Delhi-based buying house, Sourcing India earlier known as Sourcing and Negotiating Associates, has added an Australian Buyer -Raffal - to its existing booty, Mamta Chadha, the proprietor, says, "Raffal is a high-end customer, who wants to work with vendors, who provide value for money." Satisfied with the services from Soureing India, Raffal has placed orders with companies, like Rawvisitassa in Delhi, and plans to work with some others in Ludhiana and Amritsar. | |

Working with boutique stores in Australia, thecompany wants to source products in cashmere, embroidery, sequin work, etc. It also deals in imitation jewellery. They want to maintain the niche of their product and restrict their quantities to 100 pieces per design, so thai the product is picked up longbefore its shelf life is exceeded. The general FOB of the shawlsranges from $25-75. The CEO and designer from the company, Helen Webster and Julie, respectively, were in India last week to place orders with Indian manufacturers.
Already working with importers from Norway, Sourcing India wants to concentrate on buyers from Europe and Latin America, apart from Australia. | |
