Being an auto enthusiast, it was always difficult to get good products in India. One had to rely on the many friends and colleagues travelling abroad for the best of apparels and accessories made for auto enthusiasts. This is a far more developed market in the west and it was high time there was someone who catered to this audience back home in IndiaThis is when Kedar and Shilpi Deshpande decided to take up this onus onto them and launch a range of products that cater to this niche. With this niche growing at a pace never seen before, the market potential was very high. The idea began as a small part time venture but eventually shaped up as a full-fledged national brand that would cater to this nicheChoosing a brand name was difficult. 'Camshaft' is an integral part of every automobile engine. And it sounded cool too. So with a twist of a letter the name 'Kamshaft' was born
