About Us1978 was the year in which ¿Sai Bottling¿ plant started its operations in Banda. It was a humble beginning done by Mr.Shamkant N. Kanekar alias Daji under guidance from his elder brother Mr. Shripad N. Kanekar.Back then Soda, Lemon,Orange & Cola cold drinks were introduced in the market. In the year of 1987 the unit was shifted to a new location in Majgaon Sawantwadi where it still remains as the main production unit. 1998 was the year in which Indian market saw the strong return of Coca-Cola and Pepsi which made their presence felt in local markets too. To counter this competition the company introduced a range of natural health drinks. Soda made up of Amala,Jeera(Cumin),Kokum were launched in the market which till date remains as the best selling drink from Kanekar¿s stable. From 2002 the company came to be named as Kanekar¿s .2009 saw the production of cold drink in pet bottles of quantities 300ml and 500ml. Today the company has a strong presence in Sawantwadi Tauka and the major reason for Kanekar¿s being famous here is that they taste better than the rest of competitors.
