VM De-lumpers, a simplified version of Pre-Crushers, are recommended to crush materials containing small lumps into uniform coarser material. Generally suitable for lighter duties like mounting in­line with secondary grinding mill or de-agglomeration applications. A single cam shaft crushes material on the slotted grate & discharges through bottom screen.

VM Pre-crushers ideally reduce irregularly Shaped lumps of soft to medium hard even slightly damp in nature, to smaller sized lumps. Machine is not suitable for hard materials like wood, stones, metals, ores, etc. Inward-opposite rotating twin cam shafts with replaceable cams crush the material on the slotted grate.

Material enters at periphery of swing hammers undergoing size reduction along liner plates before discharging through perforated sieve at bottom. Replaceable bar type grates is available for specific applications.

Universal Mills / Pin Mills

VM Universal Mills are recommended for medium to fine grinding of soft to semi-hard materials. Appropriately sized mill chamber prevents buildup of deposits and blockage of the mill body by fatty & sticky products. Cool powdering operation retain vital properties like colour, taste, flavour etc. to its optimum level. VM Micro Pulverizers, conventional in design, Has its own advantages for various applications. A built-in water circulation jacket retains grinding temperature lower than otherwise. Design provides for admitting extra air during grinding to facilitate cool operation. Soft to medium hard materials are quickly pulverized to fine powder. Improved mixing and dispersion are added advantages of such mills. Quite popularly, it is also called High Speed close tolerance Hammer Mill.

Uniformly fed material undergoes a complex grinding force through attrition between liner plate & hammer tip, impact of high speed hammers and collision between particles. Bottom sieve controls the particle size.

Unique auto servo control to monitor feed rate sensing temperature & current, Material is prefer between serrated rotor & liner screen Controls the particle size. VM Air-Swept Mills (Screen less) are recommended for micro fine pulverizing of soft to medium hard, fibrous and slightly moist materials. Mill is uneconomical where frequent change over of product is required and material is abrasive. Such Impact Mills efficiently handle fibrous materials and products having similar structure. Water circulation jacket is an optional feature, apart from different styles of grinding elements.

Axially fed material is swept across the periphery of hammers and whizzer type retainer plate. Grinding action takes place between high speed hammers and serrated liners. Micro fine powder is discharged through a built-in blower to a cyclone separator coupled with a dust filter unit. Mills are supplied with pneumatic conveying System.

Ultra Fine Mills

Ultra Fine Mills (Screenless) are precisely built for grinding of soft to medium hard materials into amazingly fine powder. Built-in water circulation jacket and retains grinding temperature lower than otherwise, permitting handling of some heat sensitive applications. Design permits ease to cleaning & quick change over of products, thus savings through a minimum of downtime.

Feed is controlled via screw feeder. The air swept product passes through a complex grinding contour where attrition force combined with turbo (jet) effect ensures ultra fine particle size. The annular gap plate controls the flow of material through the Mill. The powder is discharged at the bottom opening, for collection. Various options available to meet users need.

VM Air Classifier Mills (Screenless) are ideally designed for micro particle size. High air through put, unique multi-tip rotor and serrated liners create numerous air-whirls, turbulence and progressive grinding. The direction and speed of the particle is suddenly changed within extremely short period, resulting into turbulent collision between particles. This ensures micronized fine & free-flowing product. Air Classifier Controls the top cut size. The great turbulence and high air volume ensures a minimum temperature increase facilitating handling of sensitive materials. The classifier retains coarser particles, while suction fan discharge fine powder to the cyclone separator and dust is collected in the bag filter unit. All mills are supplied with pneumatic; conveying system.

Grinding & Milling equipments

VM Air-Classifiers, unique in design, classify fine & very fine powder in the range of 150 to 50 microns and also 50 to 5 microns. Conventional Sieving & Grading Machines are undergoing replacement by VM Air Classifiers, Largely, due to operational convenience, cut-size adjustment and dependable end product.

Nature, size and shape of the particles determine cutoff-limit and accuracy for a given throughput. Desired particles get conveyed for discharge, while coarser particles settle down for collection or recycling. Installation can be either- in-line with a grinding mill or off-line. All Classifiers are supplied with feeding & pneumatic Conveying systems.

Cryo Milling System

Cryomilling System ensures a perfect blend of product characteristics, cryo-media & engineering requirement based on our pulverizing / milling experience . Cryomilling System is an ideal solution, where the resulting frictional heat in conventional dry grinding is extremely detrimental to end quality of powders.

Cryomilling Recommendation
  1. Materials requiring cryogenic cooling prior to milling & cooling during milling operation as well
  2. Materials requiring cooling only for milling operation.
  3. The chilled gas generated as a result of heat transfer can be used for further application such as :
    • Pre- cooling of feed materials
    • Packaged products requiring longer self life

    • Other processes requiring inert environment
  4. Thus Optimal utilization of cryogens & improved scale of economy are attained

Cryo -Media usedDue to low boiling point & inert characteristic, Liquid Nitrogen & Liquid Carbon Dioxide are ideal for cryogenic cooling & subsequent milling with homogeneous heat transfer. Liquid carbon dioxide & liquid nitrogen provide sub-zero temperature levels down to minus 50°C and minus 150°C respectively. These cryogens are safe at use & environment friendly.

Cryo - Milling Application : For fine pulverizing of many thermo plastics & other heat sensitive materials which are, otherwise, difficult to grind under conventional dry grinding. Products containing valuable properties, like pungency, aroma, volatile matter, oil and fat, viscosity, moisture, texture, colour etc. are best pulverized retaining valuable properties to its maximum extent.

Cryomilling Advantage :

1)Valuable inherent properties are preserved to maximum extent.
2)Lower energy required for cryomilling than conventional dry milling process.
3)No Room for risk oxidation,fire and dust explosion during powdering process.
