We are manufacturer of industrial magnetic products like scrap handling magnets and permanent magnetic lifters.

Lifting magnets for steel industry include scrap handling magnets as well as billet handling magnets. For scrap handling, we offer aluminium coil electromagnets from 700 mm dia to 2000 mm dia. Aluminium coil magnets are lighter and cool down faster. They are also economical compared to copper coil magnets. Copper coil magnets can also be supplied. They can be customized as per the order. Some of the features are:

• We can offer cold as well as hot magnets.
• Completely sealed with thermal conductive compound and protected terminal box.
• Self-coiling spring operated cable reeling drum.
• Heavy duty control panel.
• Rectangular magnets for billet handling are available.
• Electromagnets can be used for hot billet handling. Generally two electromagnets with spreader beam are used for handling long billets.

For cold billet handling we can electro permanent magnets, which have following advantages:

• No battery back up required – load will not fall even if power fails.
• Power is used only at time of magnetising and demagnetising. Hence power consumption is negligible.
• Due to negligible power consumption, life of magnet is very long and spares requirement is minimal.
• Also magnets can be used continuously unlike electro magnets, which need OFF time to cool down.

Permanent Magnetic Lifters are hand operated by a lever with spring lock in magnetised position to prevent inadvertent demagnetising. Capacity ranges from 100 kgs to 5000 kgs. The magnets are manufactured with high energy rare earth NdFeB magnets and tested for three times safe working load. The body is machined from a solid steel block and ensures total safety. These magnets are suitable handling steel plates, blocks, rods, press moulds/dies etc. Several magnets can be mounted on a spreader beam to handle long plates/structurals. EPM Plate Lifting Systems are suitable for handling large size MS Plates of size 2500 x 12000mm upto 40/80 mm thickness. Limiting factor will be the crane capacity. The system comprises of a spreader beam with several magnets suspended from it. The number of magnets will depend on the plate size. A common controller is provided to switch ON/OFF the magnets simultaneously. A switch is provided for reducing power to drop the second/third plate is the system picks up more than one plate. These systems are highly reliable and fool proof. Power consumption is negligible and no battery back up is required.
