Lifting magnets for steel industry include scrap handling magnets as well as billet handling magnets. For scrap handling, we offer aluminium coil electromagnets from 700 mm dia to 2000 mm dia. Aluminium coil magnets are lighter and cool down faster. They are also economical compared to copper coil magnets. Copper coil magnets can also be supplied. They can be customized as per the order.

For cold billet handling we can electro permanent magnets, which have following advantages:

• No battery back up required – load will not fall even if power fails.
• Power is used only at time of magnetising and demagnetising. Hence power consumption is negligible.
• Due to negligible power consumption, life of magnet is very long and spares requirement is minimal.
• Also magnets can be used continuously unlike electro magnets, which need OFF time to cool down.

Permanent Magnetic Lifters are hand operated by a lever with spring lock in magnetised position to prevent inadvertent demagnetising. Capacity ranges from 100 kgs to 5000 kgs.

The magnets are manufactured with high energy rare earth NdFeB magnets and tested for three times safe working load. The body is machined from a solid steel block and ensures total safety. These magnets are suitable handling steel plates, blocks, rods, press moulds/dies etc. Several magnets can be mounted on a spreader beam to handle long plates/structurals.

EPM Plate Lifting Systems are suitable for handling large size MS Plates of size 2500 x 12000mm upto 40/80 mm thickness. Limiting factor will be the crane capacity. The system comprises of a spreader beam with several magnets suspended from it. The number of magnets will depend on the plate size.

A common controller is provided to switch ON/OFF the magnets simultaneously. A switch is provided for reducing power to drop the second/third plate is the system picks up more than one plate. These systems are highly reliable and fool proof. Power consumption is negligible and no battery back up is required.

Mill duty thrustor operated brakes are suitable to operate on 400 V, 3 Phase AC Supply. The brakes are fail safe i.e. they apply when power is switched off. The drum diameter varies from 100 mm to 600 mm and braking torque from 6 Kg. M to 580 Kg. m. The thrustors are electro-hydraulic devices to exert a smooth straight-line constant force to the brakes. Thrustor capacity varies from 18 kgs to 295 kgs.

For hoisting motion rotary geared limit switches are available for use in control circuit for limiting upper and lower positions. Even compact rotating gear limit switches are available for hoist application. The lever operated limit switches for travel limit switches are fitted with rollers for engaging with striker angles in extreme positions of travel. Limit switches are available in housings of IP:41 as well as IP:55 protection.

Crane C hooks as per IS:3815 as well as ramshorn hooks as per IS:5749/BSS:3017 forged from steel can be supplied as per customized drawings. The hooks can be tested ultrasonically for any flaws. Also proof load testing is carried out as per the specified standards. Chemical and mechanical test reports are furnished.

Complete hook blocks can also be supplied. We also deal in crane components like geared couplings, gear boxes, wheel assemblies, rail clamps, cable trolleys, FRP moulded pendant push button boxes etc.

Resistance boxes are available for developing starting torque for motors for EOT Cranes, winches, rubber mills, conveyors, etc. Air cooled as well as oil cooled resistance boxes manufactured out of corrosion resistant nickel chromium alloy steels are available.

The punched grid resistors are completely immune to shock and vibration. They function reliably under the worst operating conditions and are particularly suitable for steel mill duty. Wire grid resistance boxes can also be supplied. Apart from the application, motor rotor volts and rotor amps are necessary for designing the resistance boxes appropriately.

Master controllers are of cam operated type wherein the contacts are actuated as per required program by cams mounted on operating shaft. The shaft is supported on bearing bushes mounted on housing walls.

The cams are of delrin material mounted on square spindle, which is rotated by a handle. These cams open/close the contacts of silver cadmium mounted on supporting blocks of melamine/delrin.

Digital and Analogue Soft Starters in low voltage, medium voltage and high tension for AC induction motors. The different types are as follows:

• Digital Soft Starter medium voltage, from 2300 volts to 13,800 volts. Max rating 50 MW, complete motor and starter protection, advanced wireless voltage measurement and advanced fibre optic gate firing system.
• Application in cranes for travel motion, cement mill conveyors and kilns, Fans Blowers, screw and rotary compressors, chillers, pumps, boosters, oil, gas, LNG and CNG plants

Crane Weigh Scales offered by us are advanced wireless type. They combine the safety and comfort of having a remote, wireless display with the ease of use that a hook allows. These crane scales are especially suitable for hot temperature industries as well as a wide variety of other applications.

Our weigh scales have an internal mechanism to ensure that the received and indicated values identical to the transmitted value. Under no circumstances will it indicate a different value than the transmitted one. This is an important safety feature. The small size of the wireless crane ensures low headroom loss for any application. The weigh scales are fully tested and supplied with a test certificate, including a fully traceable calibration chart. The range is 100 meters (outdoor line of sight). Accuracy upto 0.1% of full range.
The scales are available with remote display as well as removable 25 mm/50 mm display.
