 | | | | | Constant Voltage Transformers (CVT) Constant voltage Transformers [CVT'S] are purely static units and provides very fast correction to the output, against very wide input fluctuations of -25% to +15%. Nominal input can be selected as 220v or 240v. Output is generally adjusted to give 230v [220v tapping available]. It works on Ferro-Resonant Principal and thereby correction is almost less than 120ms, stabilization to the output against load and also against input fluctuation is + 1%. WHY DO YUO USE A 'KPS' CVT AND NOT A VOLTAGE STABILIZER FOR COMPUTERS AND SOPHISTICATED EQUIPMENT'S. The reason is that in the voltage stabilizers relays are presents and when those relays switches, the output voltage may be interrupted for a short time. Also there is zero isolation between primary and secondary voltages. Such transient may not be desirable for computers. This may cause the computers to reboot. Also CVT'S a clean spike-free output voltage. The regulation in CVT'S also a good. With the populisation of personal computers, the constant voltage transformers have also become equally popular like UPS. The 'KPS' constant voltage transformers are particularly applicable in systems involving mini or micro computers.
