Our foundation was laid in the year 1860, when Nobin Chandra Das (Nobin moira) of Baghbazaar in North Kolkata prepared delicious sweetmeat ROSSOGOLLA (small balls of pure cow milk casein boiled in sugar syrup) a spongy sweet which is regarded as the national sweet in India.
 
Later on in the year 1930, K. C. Das (Krishna Chandra Das), the only son of Nobin Chandra Das inaugurated a retailing outlet under the name of “K. C. Das Confectionary. He also prepared Rossomalai for the first time which has now become one of the most demanded Bengali sweet dish in the Indian market. It was his sincere and dedicated efforts thatw e were able to produce rossogolla in canned form and made this the “Royal sweet of Bengal” famous throughout the world.
 
Our business expanded under the visionary guidance of Sarada Charan Das(1906-1992) who was son of K. C. Das. He also invented unique and delicious sweetmeats namely as Amrita Kumbha, Cake Sandesh, Ice-cream Sandesh.
 
We are currently led by Debendranath Das who is the second of Sarada Charan Das, and Grandson of the Legend, K. C. Das who established a small sweetmeat shop at Kalighat, Kolkata in the year 1960 and named it "K. C. Das Grandson". Later on, this firm was enrolled as a registered society and was named as K.C. Das Grandson (P) Ltd.
