Rossogolla a spongy sweet is regarded as the national sweet in india. In the year 1930, K. C. das (krishna chandra das), the one and only sonof nobin chandra das, opened a retailing outlet under the name of K. C. das confectionary, And also contributed the bengali confectionary by inventing a unique
sweetmeat, rossomalai. It was the1st and only who canned the rossogolla, which had made rossogolla, the royal sweet of bengal Famous throughout the whole world. Later his son sarada charandas(1906-1992) expanded the whole business and reached it to its heights by every possible means and also by globalizing indian sweets through out the whole world. It also invented some unique sweetmeats, amrita kumbha, cake sandesh, ice-cream sandesh, Etc. debendranath das, the 2ndson of sarada charan das, and grandson of the legend, K. C. das openeda small sweetmeat shop at kalighat, kolkata in the year 1960 under thename of "K. C. das grandson" and later he incorporated his firm to K.C. das grandson (p) ltd. debendra nath das
