Profile of Kusumgar Corporates Pvt. Ltd., Mumbai. Mr. Y.K. Kusumgar established, M/s. Kusumgar Corporates Pvt. Ltd., way back in 1970. Beginning with synthetic filter fabrics, Kusumgar Corporates Pvt. Ltd. expanded its activities to wide range of technical textiles at a time when technical textiles were in infant stage in India. Since its inception, the business philosophy of M/s. Kusumgar Corporates Pvt. Ltd. has been to promote product and market development of Technical Textiles through innovative and matured technologies with the help of expert and experienced team of technocrats. The company has a diversified product range weighing 30 gsm to 1000 gsm produced on wide range of weaving machines viz. conventional, projectile, rapier, and water jet machines. Production facility includes coating with polymeric materials such as Vinyl, Acrylic and Urethanes and also impregnation for fire retardancy, water repellency, oil repellency, microbial resistance, etc. with in-house testing facility. Today Kusumgar Corporates Pvt. Ltd. not only supplies technical textiles, but also provides technical solutions to the needs of its varied customer base. M/s. Kusumgar Corporates Pvt. Ltd. has recognition as under: Mr. Y.K. Kusumgar was the President from 1997-2004 of Silk & Art Silk Mills Research Association (SASMIRA), Mumbai- Nodal Agency for promoting Technical Textiles in India under Ministry of Textiles, Government of India. At present he is a Council Member. Kusumgar Corporates Pvt. Ltd. is the only technical textile manufacturer to be awarded NATIONAL AWARD FOR INDIGENISATION by the Government of India for excellence in indigenisation of Defence Equipment, hitherto imported. Mr. Y.K. Kusumgar has guided the development and productionisation of Polyaramid contour for the use of light combat aircraft. Indigenisation of this aerospace structural development has been awarded by Aerial Development Authority, Govt. of India. Kusumgar Corporates Pvt. Ltd. is the only company in India to develop and productionise N.B.C. (Nuclear Biological Chemical Warfare) clothing and zero porosity fabrics for parachute applications.
