About Us

The Kerala State Co-Operatve Federation For Fisheries Development Ltd short named as Matsyafed is the dream of fishermen of Kerala state. It is the appex federation of 659 fishermen co-operatves strewn along the breadth and length of the southern most state of Kerala in India. We deals with all aspects of fisheries sector in addition to bio-polymer section. Our presence is felt in the sector since 1984. We came to the bio polymer sector since 1988, producing and marketing Chitin and Chitosan. During 1999 - 2000 we have commissioned a new plant for the production of these products.

1. Use of fresh shell from marine enviornment as raw material
2. Use of certified good quality reagents.
3. Use of food grade materials for equipments.

We are committed to quality and produce best material. Since we are dealing with a food supplement., we are careful from the raw material stage on wards to finished products. We always follow good manufacturing practices in each stage of operation. ..we never use culture prawn shell to avoid contamination of antibiotics and GMO’s.
