High Capacity Block Makers

With the increasing demand for building blocks and with the depleting availability of labor and work force, the high production machines are the need of the hour. Kiran Engineers has developed these high production machines which can deliver 1200 blocks/hr of 6” x 8” x 12” or 2500 blocks/hr of 3” x 4” x 9” size. These mega blocks possess very good finish, excellent strength.

Mega block machines are compatible with the Fal-G technology and hence low cost blocks can be produced. Mega Block machines require the raw materials in huge quantity in the range of 15000 kgs/hr which require high capacity mixing machines and conveyors to transport this bulk quantity. It is recommended to deploy ‘front end loaders’ for transporting and loading of aggregates into the block making machine.

Similarly, the output from the block maker is also huge and requires ‘Automatic Stackers’ with fork lift which will replace the manual labor. In furtherance, ‘low pressure steam curing system’ can be adapted, which reduces the curing time to less than 48 hrs.

Mega Block Machine (HD)

The machine produces “high quality” blocks, paver blocks, conventional brick sized blocks with high production capacity. Whereas in the conventional egg layers and stationery models the compaction is achieved by intense vibration which leaves voids in the blocks, in the ‘HD Series’ machines the aggregates are vibrated and then they are hard pressed with a heavy force of 30,000 kgs thus eliminating any voids. This very principle of compaction produces the blocks with high strength (mostly 150%-200%) of the strength of normally produced blocks. In other words, the blocks require less binder to attain the same strength of normally produced blocks. Hence the blocks produced in these machines are denser without voids, more sharp and with high strength. The Raw material bin of the machine is fed by the aggregates by a belt conveyor. The raw material is filled into the HFD trough (hydraulic fill/draw) as per the requirement. The HFD trough will move on to the mould to fill the raw material and is retracted. The ram is pressed on to the material in the mould with heavy pressure in the order of 20000 to 30000 kgs, and the ram is retracted. The casted blocks along with pallets are transported for further process.

Egg Layer Block Machine

The machine is similar to the normal egg layer machine but with 100% more casting area. The machine delivers 10 nos of 6” x 8” x 12” sized blocks per cycle and the machine gives 120 cycles per hour, thus making four folded output. The machine is equipped with a HFD(hydraulic fill/draw mechanism) which will reduce the manual labor by 70%. The machine requires a well prepared platform to cast the blocks.
