Construction:
The resistor consists of one layer of resistance wire wound on a special quality ceramic core. The resistance wire used is of low temperature co-efficient. The wire ends are spot welded to end caps for reliable contacts over long period of use.
In this type the resistor element is housed in another square shape ceramic tube and ends are sealed. This gives complete protection against environment and high electrical insulation. All resistors are individually checked for required tolerances. For proper identification, the respective make, value, tolerance and wattage are printed clearly on each resistor.

The silicone coated have good environmental protection and electrical insulation. The ceramic encased type have very high mechanical strength, environmental protection and high electrical insulation.
