About UsThe Jamo® brand—owned by Klipsch Group, Inc.—bases all of its audio products, speakers and electronics alike, on the Danish design tradition of style, simplicity and functionality. For Jamo, it’s not just about delivering great sound; it’s about how a product integrates into a living space. Through the years, Jamo has received widespread recognition for creating products with a unique “Danish Sound.” What does that mean? Jamo views it as a balance that can be best described as open, clear, coherent and undeniably musical. Just as important, however, Jamo products are designed and engineered to continue the proud Danish traditions of beauty and practicality. For centuries, the Danes have been known for their natural aptitude when it comes to architecture, construction and design. It’s an essence that’s reflected in the contemporary, yet timeless, look of Jamo’s creations. Often, Jamo works closely with imaginative and quality-conscious product visualizers, such as Smedegaard & Weiss, an award-winning female design team. This highly respected Danish duo is internationally known for their ability to combine technical excellence with an intuitive feel for consumer demand. Operating in over 80 countries, Jamo sees itself as a provider of custom-designed entertainment, one that understands and reflects the different ways in which the world listens. Its mission is to bring unique and memorable sonic experiences into your home. Whether you want music in the kitchen, the living room or on the terrace; whether you desire two-channel stereo or a surround-sound system, Jamo has an ideal solution for you. |
PhilosophyIn addition to Jamo’s beautiful designs, cutting-edge technology is an essential element of its products. You’ll find that Jamo has engineered several proprietary technical platforms that make its critically acclaimed “Danish Sound Design” possible.
WaveGuide
WaveGuide is the unique way Jamo has shaped the tweeter’s faceplate. This exclusive technology helps control the speaker’s sound pattern, creating a more open and dynamic listening experience. It is also a design that makes it easier to position Jamo speakers in a room.
Hard Conical Cone (HCC)
HCC technology enables the driver to reach far beyond the midrange frequencies before any significant cone break-up occurs. The material’s rigidity and membrane’s conical shape ensure the unit creates clear, detailed sound with very little distortion.
Centre-Plug
The Centre-Plug replaces the traditional dust cap, making the cone both lighter and more responsive. It also cools the voice coil, resulting in higher power handling and stable sound reproduction when the speaker is being played at an increased volume.
Decoupled Tweeter Technology (DTT)
This mounting system prevents unwanted cabinet vibrations that can cloud sound. By decoupling the tweeter from the rest of the speaker, vibrations transmitted from the front baffle to the tweeter are reduced by more than 20dB. In other words, it creates high frequencies that are uncommonly detailed and realistic.
The synergy of design and technology has been at the core of the Jamo brand since its inception. From the modern art look of the Graphic speaker to the performance of the latest generation of in-wall and in-ceiling speakers, every product accurately reflects Danish sound and design.
Our MilestonesThe Jamo® brand bases all of its audio products on the Danish design tradition of style, simplicity and functionality. After all, it’s not just about delivering great sound; it’s about how a product integrates into a living space.
