Production

We use technologically advanced CNC wire formers, four-slides, tabletop benders, kick presses, and hand jigs to make wire forms.  In addition to forming your wire form, we offer Secondary Operations such as thread, chamfer, swage, drill, tap, machine, and weld.  We take care of any Finishing required, such as stress relieve, heat treat, shot peen, tumble, plate, powder coat, passivate, electropolish, dye or paint, bake enamel, and plastic coat.

With the help of state of art type CNC compression springs (Wire Dia upto 35 mm) coiling set up, presicion compression springs are manufactured. The most common compression springs is a straight cylindrical spring. There are also conical, barrel, and hourglass compression springs. The pitch or spacing between the coils can be constant or variable.

Production

We use coiling machines to manufacture compression springs.  We take care of any Finishing required, such as stress relieve, shot peen, plate, powder coat, passivate, electropolish, dye or paint, bake enamel, and plastic coat.  We can also assemble them into your mating part, or special pack them to prevent tangling.  Our entire factory is managed to meet the ISO 9001:2008 standard.

Common extension springs, tension springs (Wire Dia upto 35 mm) ends are twist, cross center, side loops and extended hooks. We also  manufacture swivel hooks, flat stock hooks, and more. Most helical tension springs are coiled with initial tension, equal to the minimum force required to separate adjacent coils.

We use technologically advanced CNC formers, coiling machines, and looping machines to manufacture extension springs.  We take care of any Finishing required, such as stress relieve, shot peen, plate, powder coat, passivate, electropolish, dye or paint, bake enamel, and plastic coat. 

There are single-bodied torsion springs and double-bodied torsion springs. Double torsion springs should be designed so they are coiled out from the center rather than in from the ends. Some of the more common end configurations are shown below in SMI’s figure of Common Helical Torsion Spring End Configurations.
