InfrastructureThe Factory infrastructure comprises 5000 Sq.Ft of storage facility, 5000 Sq.Ft of processing and utility area and 2400 sq.Ft of administrative block along with complete factory have internal road and compound walls. The facility has adequate waterpower and other required facilities. It is also equipped with an effluent treatment plant that meets the norms.
PROCESS
Within the compound we have two bore wells which supply the required water. Bore well water is dematerialized and UV treated before it is used for the process. SHIVSU one of the leaders in this area provides the water treatment plant. During the treatment all the dissolved salts are removed and the water is exposed to ultra violet light to destroy any microorganisms that may be present. This water is used for all the preparation of products as well as for cleaning the equipment.
Boiler provides steam at 130°C to heat the product. Steam is prepared from treated water and it flows through the outer jacket of heating equipment called heat exchangers. The product gets heated instantly without direct contact with steam. Steam is also used to heat up the detergents used for cleaning the equipment. All the process equipments are sterilized after cleaning and before use, using hot water. Here again steam is used to heat, treated water to the required temperature.
To avoid product quality problems due to interruptions in power supply, the factory is provided with uninterrupted power supply, through a 160 KVA Generator, which plays the center part to ensure this is done.
All the perishable raw material is stored at 10°C to 18°C as required by type of the material. All stable ingredients like sugar and preservatives are stored in dry area on pallets. Regular inspections are done in the raw material storage areas to check on any pest activity.
Preparation of the product is done under very strict hygienic condition to prevent human contact with the product. Apart from the initial mixing step the product is never exposed to the air. All the equipment used, is of sanitary construction and is made of high quality stainless steel.
The product is homogenized using homogenizer, which provides smoothness and consistency of the product.
Long shelf life for the product is achieved by Pasteurizering it using the state of art equipment, the equipment called S.S. Tubular Pasteurizer/Cooler. The product is exposed to temperature up to 90 to 110°C for 60 seconds. This instant heating destroys all the microorganisms in the product. However it does not alter the nutritive value, taste, aroma or flavor of the product.
Hot juice at 72°C is filled in pet bottle by using complete automatic Rotary Rinsing, Filling, capping Machine. after capping the hot juice in pet bottle is pass through a cooling tower before passing to shrink tunnel for shrink labeling at temperature of 30 °C than passing through on line coding machine for coding all the required details on bottle such as date of manufacturing, batch number and price.
Finally the Shrink-Wrap machine will wrap the trays with a polyethylene cover which will be shrinked tight in the shrinking tunnel. Packs are now protected against damages that could happen during any rough handling during shipments. Also it protects the packs from any dust. The entire line is connected with clean and smooth conveyor system that prevents touching the packs with human hands until it reaches the consumer.
Quality Policy / ProcessesAll the manufacturing steps are monitored and controlled by the Quality Assurance and Quality Control department (QA and QC). One food technologist and two microbiologists handle this function. The specifications for raw materials, packaging materials, processing methods and finished products are researched, finalized and documented by the QA. QC persons serve as the Police men in the factory and make sure every thing is according to the specifications. The department is equipped with imported Consistency Testers, Hydrometers as well as Incubators, pH Meters and other standard tools for the laboratory. There is a separate microbiological lab with a laminar flow chamber for culture preparation
