 |   |  Black Masterbatches We use flushing technique to develop a range of black masterbatches. The technique is used with carbon black loadings up to 40%. All the
pigments are present in fine state of dispersion. These products are ideally
suited for computer monitors and TV. They provide high glaze and
disperse-ability to the finished products. We also offer Combi master batch in
case special antistatic properties are necessary. Important usage of our black master batches are in drip
irrigation pipes and ROTO moulded tanks. Drip Irrigation Pipes These pipes are used in condition where they have to
substantially bear the environmental effects. Hence, these pipes must have excellent
UV stabilization and balanced mechanical properties. For this carbon black is
used in them. For degree of UV stabilization, following factors are utmost
important:
- Dispersion levels of carbon blacks in the pipe
- Carbon black content of 2.5% in the pipes
- Particle size and surface area of carbon black
KONSPEC offers master batches loaded with 40% Carbon Black
for use in drip irrigation pipes. Its grades are carefully selected by considering
following:
- Particle size of Carbon Black
- Surface area
- Volatile matter and others
Also, the dispersion level of our carbon black is maintained
at optimal levels. We also offer black master batches on EVA Base for use in
conditions where their improved ESCR properties are required. ROTO Moulded Tanks Our products is used in ROTO moulded tanks for providing UV
stabilization as the tanks are continuously exposed to sun light and other environmental
conditions. With our black mater batches, the aging period, surface gloss and
crack resistance of the tanks are increased by good levels. Moreover, we also offer combi master batches that are loaded
with sufficient amount of UV & antioxidant additives. These batches are
used in automotive components and products.

 |  Color Masterbatches Consumer products, especially plastic, demand a spectrum of
colors to ensure their aesthetic appeal and functional properties as per market
demands. We offer various color masterbatches for various consumer products
such as washing machines, refrigerators and other consumer durables. In these
sectors, colour quality in foremost as various pigments are handled and it is a
tough ask to match skin components with coated metal sheets. 'KONSPEC' also offers first rate Colour Matching facility including
latest software & colour matching booths. To meet the industry demands, we
carefully select polymers and pigments. During this selection, following properties

We also offer master batches that are formulated with heavy
metal free pigments. Technical Details
- All our colour master batches are developed with different
loadings of titanium dioxide, which is the principal pigment
- Grades up to 72% titanium dioxide loading are offered
- Titanium dioxide is in an excellent state of dispersion
- Products are manufactured with PE, PP and PS base carriers,
depending on the application
- Choice of pure white and whites with different blue undertones
- Grades of titanium dioxide are carefully chosen for ensuring high
opacity & good dispersion, as per the application
- Base carrier has complete compatibility with the polymer being
coloured

 |   |  White Masterbatches White masterbatches offered by us are developed using various
loadings of titanium dioxide. We offer up to 75% titanium dioxide grades that
are selected to ensure good dispersion and high opacity. The rutile grades of
titanium dioxide are carefully chosen to ensure high opacity and good
dispersion. While selecting the grades of titanium dioxide, various critical
factors are considered such as high speed and high temperature extrusion, where
lacing problem is common. Depending on the application, PE, PP and PS base carriers are
used to create the products. Our clients can select from pure white & whites
with blue undertone. A variety of master batches are manufactured by us for

 |  Antioxidant Masterbatches KONSPEC
offers antioxidant masterbatches, that are marketed under the brand
name of "AOKON" to suit particular use. These master
batches are formulated exclusively for the specific needs of
polyolefins, styrenics, etc. with different loadings of active
ingredients. Need
of Anti Oxidant for polymer Processing The
selection of antioxidant should be carefully done keeping into
consideration all the critical aspects. All the polymeric materials
undergo thermal degradation during the processing at elevated
temperature, presence of atmospheric oxygen. Degradation of polymers
causes in form of :
- Changes
in color
- Detrimental
effects on Physico Mechanical Properties
- Long
term aging
Polymers
immensely find application in long term aging usages which includes
automotive components, furniture,
electronic goods, appliances & parts etc. During the processing,
polymers need the protection of outdoor exposure. For this purpose,
antioxidants are added to polymers for protecting them against
thermal degradation process. Application of antioxidants is
increasing and most necessary in a variety of usages. Types
of Antioxidants We
offer 2 types of antioxidants namely primary antioxidants and
secondary antioxidants. These antioxidants are briefly mentioned as
follows: Primary
Antioxidants: These
antioxidants are free radical scavenger and prevent degradation by
destroying free radicals generated during the degradation of
Polymers. Examples of primary antioxidants are hindered Phrnois,
secondary are amines. Secondary
antioxidant: These
secondary antioxidants decompose the hydeogeroxide formed during the
reaction of primary antioxidant with free radicals and hence are used
synergically with primary antioxidants. The examples of secondary
antioxidants include Phosphates, Sulphites, Thioesters and many more. Application

- Melt
Stabilization of polypropylene
Polypropylene
is sensitive to oxidative degradation owing to the tertiary hydrogens
in its structure. Chain scission is the primary result of the
oxidative degradation mechanism producing lower molecular weight
resin with enhancement in melt index & lower physical properties.
- Melt
stabilization of Controlled Rheology ( CR ) PP
Controlled
Rheology (CR) is the term used to indicate that the PP has been
subjected to post polymerization compounding process, that uses a
peroxide cracking agent to modily the molecular weight distribution.
They increase the melt flow and PP resin properties for applications
like fiber spinning and injection molding. The selection of
antioxidant is of considerable significance to have an effective
control on the melt stabilization of controlled rheology PP.
Antioxidant also prevents further increase in Melt Flow due to the
peroxide cracking agent.
- Melt
stabilization of HDPE / LLDPE
In
contrast to PP, the melt index of HDPE/ LLDPE decreases during the
multiple extrusion. Studies reflect its normal cross linking mode of
degradation. The excellent melt stabilization activity of antioxidant
is achieved through careful selection of antioxidant. Antioxidant
should also provide efficient control on the color that is yellow
index of Polymer during multiple passes.
The
Polypropylene fibers tend to undergo gas yellowing owing to the
reactivity of nitrogen oxide generated by combustion of natural
gases. Also the extraction of additives of the fibers by lubricant
components in the spin finish etc.

 |   |  Functional Masterbatches KONSPEC
offers different types of functional masterbatches for
automotive applications, that are based on UV stabilizers,
antioxidants, etc. We also offer direct compounds which are ready to
use directly in the molding. Automotive
compounds: Automotive
companies are continuously enhancing the performance requirements of
Plastics used. Consequentially higher performance standards are being
set, and longer times to failure of polymer components are specified.
The Polymers going into automotive application must have high level
of aesthetic appeal as well as balanced physico mechanical
properties. Polymers: For
manufacturing different types of automobile parts, various types of
polymers are used. For instance for bimper PP/EPDM alloys are used.
For trims high impact, PP is used and for dash boards, talc filled PP
is used. Colors: The
coloring of these plastics is also of greater importance, hence the
ingredients used for coloring these components should not possess nay
effect on the polymer aging properties. Generally automotive
components are in Grey color. To achieve this Grey color, carbon
black is used. Experimental results have shown that the carbon black
added can reduce the aging properties of polymer. In
the same way, the talc used to increase the mechanical properties of
basic Polypropylene can also possess an effect on aging, unless these
are properly stabilized with different functional additives. The
specifications of automotive compounds are difficult to achieve. In
order to achieve the aesthetic as well as desired aging properties,
we also offer combi concentrates of color and functional additive

offer UV stabilizer MB based on HALS for rotomoulding application and
active ingredients of masterbatch is sanctioned by FDA and BGVV.
Rotomoulded tanks are mainly used in outdoors for extended periods
and they are exposed to maximum UV rays. Apart from this, they also
come in contact with water and have to be necessarily UV Stabilized.
The HALS based UV stabilizers are used in maintaining the physical
and surface appearance of roto moulded products for enhanced service

Stabiliser masterbatch for green house The
UV stabilization of agricultural films is of utmost importance as
these films undergo most extreme weather conditions and different
agricultural chemicals including pesticides, etc. We provide special
grade of UV stabilized masterbatches for the stabilization of green
house / agricultural films, which are based on the high molecular
weight Polymeric HALS UV Stabilizers
with or without pesticide resistance depending upon the clients'

applications. These masterbatches provide the clients with more

 |  Nucleating Agent Master Batches We
manufacture nucleating agent master batches, which are supplied under
the brand name 'NUKON'. These NUKON master batches are formulated
from carefully selected organic compounds like:
- Salts
of mono or polycarboxylic acids
- Long
chain ester ionomer.
Most
of the nucleating agents added to the polymers control the crystal
structure and produce a high degree of crystallizing with fine grain
spherulite structure. It not just increases optical properties like
transparency, translucency but in addition improves
physico-mechanical properties. Nucleation effects are used to enhance
the processing and end product characteristics viz, dimensional
stability, post mold shrinkage etc. These 'NUKON' master batches are
available in concentrations of 10-20% active ingredients.

 |  Antiblock Masterbatches We
offer slip / anti-block masterbatches, that are marketed under the
brand name 'SLABKON'. Our slip masterbatches and anti-block
masterbatches for LDPE / LLD / PP Films are in sync with the
specifications of ISO. Slip
master batches for LDPE / LLDPE / PP Films : These
slip masterbatches are manufactured using additive from fatty acid
amide group. We provide 2 types of Masterbatches for this application
based on the migration characteristics. Slip
Masterbatches are manufactured on fast migration characteristic
additives to get immediate lowering of co-efficient of friction is
required. Apart from this, masterbatches are also available on slow
migration characteristics of the additive. The concentration of these
slip masterbatches depends upon polymer type and degree of COF
required. Antiblock
masterbatches for LDPE / LLD / PP Films The
blocking tendency of film surfaces can be eliminated through adding
an anti-blocking agent masterbatch during the processing of these
films. KONSPEC offers antiblock masterbatches for
LDPE / LLD / PP Films, that are based on the selica
or finely grounded mineral fillers and fatty acid amide additives are
the combination of these additives. We
