We generally use alloy steel for Inlet Valve as these Valves are not Exposed to the Corrosive action of the hot Exhaust gases. Therefore, these are capable to serve longer periods with trouble free operations.

For the Exhaust Valve, Chromium Silicon is used which makes it resistant to corrosion due to high temperature and hot gases.

Material : EN8, EN18D, EN24, EN52, EN54, EN59(214N) (Non-Magnetic / Bi-metal)

Hardness : From 20 HRC to 50 HRC according to the material used and the application of the valve.

Valve Seat Inserts are made from Chrome Alloy Steel which has a high wear resistance at high temperature. These are suitable for use in light Alloy Aluminium and Cast Iron Cylinder Heads. They serve well to extend the life of Valve Seat.
