KCOAT is an anti-carbonation coating based on acrylic co polymers. Applied as a liqid it cures to form a durable, protective, waterproof membrane. It is a single component coating suitable for application by brush or roller.

USES

Highly recommended for exterior use on all types of plaster and concrete surfaces. Excellent weather resistant and has high scrub resistance. Can be applied directly on new and sound surfaces. To provide a smooth decorative durable coating for concrete and masonry surfaces. Two coat application is recommended.

TECHNICAL DATA

CHEMICAL RESISTANCE : Resistance to spillage of diesel, sewage, mild acids and alkalis.
WATER ABSORPTION : < 1 %
CARBOND DIOXIDE DIFFUSION : 6,90,000.
EFFECTIVE BARRIER TO CO2 :> 50 m.
COLOURS : Available in various colours.

COVERAGE

Theoretical spreading rate : Dry film thickness 50 – 100 micron will give 4 – 4.5m² / kg. : Wet film thickness 75 – 150 micron

APPLICATION

SURFACE PREPARATION :

All loose material, including loose plaster, cement deposits, old paint, dust etc. must be thoroughly removed. Chalking and porous substrates with high absorption.

PRIMING

On old or porous surfaces, ensure that the substrate is sound and dilute 2 parts
of KCOAT to 1 part of water and prime the surface. When it is tacky or touch dry (i.e after 1/2 to 3 hours), apply KCOAT on the primed surface.

APPLICATION :

Stirr the material in the container thoroughly and spread evenly with a brush, roller or airless spray. Avoid application during rainy weather. In hot, dry weather, dampen unpainted surfaces with water to prevent KCOAT drying out too rapidly. carbonation coating a two coat application (200 microns DFT) is recommended.

STORAGE

The product should be kept in well ventilated place, protected from heat and direct sunlight. Containers must be kept tightly closed.

PACKING

Available in 1, 5 & 20 kg. plastic bucket.

KSEALCORE R is a two pack polymer based anti-corrosive protective coating for steel and reinforcement. KSEALCORE R is thin section
coating designed to provide weather resistance to steel and reinforcement. It ensures excellent corrosion resistance to the reinforcement bars.

USES

KSEALCORE can be used in steel reinforcement, embedded steel in concrete.

APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS
SURFACE PREPARATION :

The steel reinforcement should be cleaned by wire brush or acid cleaning.
All dust particles should be removed to achieve good bonding of coating.

MIXING :

KSEALCORE R is supplied in two pack material with a powder component and the respective pre-weighed amount of liquid. The liquid should be poured into the suitable mixing vessel and the powder component gradually to be under mechanical mixing. The continuous mixing should be done until a homogenous colour is achieved. APPLICATION : The mixed KSEALCORE R should be applied by brush in one coat on substrate. And mixed material to be used with in 20 mins.

CLEANING :

Brush should be rinsed with water immediately after use.

PACKING & COVERAGE

One pack (2kg + 1 litre) will cover approximately 100 kg of 12 diameter steel bar.

SHELF LIFE

12 months storage life when stored in original unopened container at between 5  ºC to 45 ºC in a dry and shaded place.

KSEALCORE EPX is a formulation of special epoxy and polyamide resin. It is a two part solvented epoxy protective and decorative coating for steel and concrete substrates. It provides protection from weathering and abrasion.

USES

To protect steel and concrete surfaces. To enhance resistance to oil, grease, water
penetration, abrasion and chemical attack.

APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS

Surface preparation

Concrete substrates : the surface should be sound, free from laitance and contamination. It should be free from oil, grease, etc. must be removed using
degreaser or detergent. STEEL SURFACES : Oil contained surfaces should be thoroughly cleaned with KC DEGREASER, and sand blasting. Where this is not possible, minimal surface preparation with wire brushing should be done.

KSEALCORE EP (LS)

• Can be applied directly to steel surfaces.

PRIMING

Apply KSEALCORE PRIMER EPX as a primer coat on the smooth surface. The primer coat should be done 5 – 8 hrs. before applying KSEALCORE EP (LS)

MIXING

KSEALCORE EP (LS) is supplied ready to use in pre weighed packs of resin and hardener for easy on site mixing. Pour the HARDENER into the
BASE can, and mix well, using a paddle attached to an electric drill, for 2-3 minutes until a uniform colour is obtained.

APPLICATION

KSEALCORE EP (LS) may be applied by brush or airless spray to give a continuous coating on the prepared surface. A second coat may be subsequently applied when first coat is dried. Preferably next day.

TYPICAL PROPERTIES

• COLOUR : Red, Blue, Green, Ivory, Yellow & Grey (special shade on request)
• POT LIFE : 1 hours at 30 0C.
• TOUCH DRY : 8 hours at 30 0C.
• FULL CURE : 7 DAYS.
• TEMPERATURE RANGE DURING APPLICATION : 5 0C TO 45 0C.

COVERAGE

• Approximate coverage is 2 to 3m2 / kg. / 200 microns.
• Practically coverage depends upon substrate and method of application.

PRECAUTION

KSEALCORE epoxy floor coating is a two part solvent free epoxy resin based floor coating consisting of a pigmented base resin and a clear hardener component. The floor coating is available in a range of colours.

USES

• Protective coating for old and new concrete.
