Description;

K 5 Aquagaurd is a prepacked single component powder based waterproofing system ensures the total and permanent solution to water leakage, ingress, or seepage in concrete structures or any cementitious substrate. The formation and development of Insoluble crystals into water bearing capillaries and interstices effectively blocks the further passage of water and ensures permanent water tightness for the life of the structure.

Uses:

All structures which are required to be waterproofed and protected against the ingress of moisture. Basements, Lift Shafts, Water tanks, Swimming Pools, Sewage Tanks, Retaining Walls, Reservoirs, Bridge Pilers, Dams, Tunnels, Dock gates etc.

Properties:

K 5 Aquagaurd when used as recommended combines with water and cement to form an impermeable coating by blocking the capillaries and pores, i.e. waterproofing by crystallisation.

Application Instructions:

Surface Preparation : All leaks and water jets must be stopped using Ks aquaplug plugging compound. Substrate must be sound, clean and tree from loose particles or laitance or contamination and present cracks must be treated with K5 crackseal (See separate data sheet).

MIXING:

K 5 Aquagaurd should preferably be mixed mechanically by usingan electric drill and paddle attachment. Pour 8 to 9 litres of water in the container first and add powder slowly while mixing continuously until an even homogeneous mix of brushing consistency is obtained.

APPLICATION:

The prepared surface must be thoroughly wetted with water for absorption and excess water should be removed. K 5 Aquagaurd must be applied in 2/3 uniform coats at an application rate of 1*1.5 kg/m' per coat on the water pressure side of the structure. Mixed K 5 Aquagaurd will remain workable for 20 minutes. Mixing in small quantities is recommended.

CLEANING:

All tools must be cleaned with water immediately after use.

Packing & Coverage:

1 kg, 5 kg, 25 kg bag.

Cover 16.5 • 25 m2 at a rate of 1.5-1 Kg / m', depends on the porosity of the surface. Two or three coats are recommended.

Shelf Life:

12 months storage life when stored in original unopened container at between 5 ~C to 45 'C in a dry and shaded place.

K5 AQUAGUARD A is a two component, flexible polymer modified brush applied cementitious coating for the protection of waterproofing of concrete surfaces, balconies, terraces, bathrooms and swimming pools.

APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS
SURFACE PREPARATION:

Substrate must be sound, clean and free from loose particles or laittances or contamination and preferably be wire brushed. Where cracks are present, cracks must be treated first depending on the type of crack.

MIXING :

Pour liquid in to suitable clean containers. Then slowly add powder while stirring with a mechanical mixer, carefully mix K5 AQUAGUARD A for a few minutes making sure that no powder remains stuck to the sides or the bottom of the container. Keep stirring until a perfectly homogenous mix is obtained. Use a low speed mixer for this operation to avoid much air being dragged in to the mix.

APPLICATION:

The prepared surface must be thoroughly wetted with water for absorption and excess water to be removed. Apply mixed K5 AQUAGURAD A by brush at a maximum thickness of 1 to 2 mm per layer. The second coat must be applied when the previous one is dry (after 8 – 10 hours.) The mixed material to be used with in 20 minutes.

18 kg powder + 10 ltr. liquid will cover 16.5m2to 25 m2 9 kg powder + 5 liquid will cover8.25 m2 to 12.5 m2

K5 AQUAPLUG is a fast setting hydraulic compound which stops running water instantly. K5 AQUAPLUG sets with in 1 to 3 minutes depending on temperature and the surface to which it is applied. Lower temperature will retard the setting time and higher temperature accelerates the setting time.

USES

It can be used for stop running water and seepage through concrete and masonry walls, dams, wall and floor junctions. It can be used as a grout around pipes.

APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS
SURFACE PREPARATION:

Chisel out masonry around the hole or crack to a depth and width not less than 25 mm. Ensure that the hole is wider with in the wall than at the surface. (Inverted 'V' Groove). If the water pressure is high at the area to be patched, make weep holes at the base of the wall to relieve the pressure.

MIXING :

K5 AQUAPLUG should be mixed with a trowel in small quantities 1:4 by volume or 1:5 by weight (water to K5 AQUARPLUG).

APPLICATION :

Hold the mixed K5 AQUAPLUG in the gloved hand until heat generation is felt and force the material in to the crack or void and hold tightly with palm of the hand for 3 minutes until K5 AQUAPLUG sets.

K5 Aquagaurd Wm (F)) is a single component fiber reinforcement cementitious water proofing render. Normally to be used in conjunction with K5 Aquagaurd Wm (F) as a primer.

It can be used for terrace slab. Basement, Water Tank, Reservoirs etc. For water proofing and protection of all structures, foundations, retaining walls, swimming pools, bridges Lift shafts. Tunnels, Dock gates. Dams etc.

Application Instructions:

 

Surface Preparation:

Miixing:

 

K5 Aquagaurd Wm (F) must be mixed with a mechanical mixer using an electric drill paddle attachment. Place the required amount of water in the container {3.2 to 3.S Itrs. of water / 25 kg bag) and whilst mixing add the powder slowly and mix till homogeneous trowellable consistency is obtainer.

 

Application:

 

Apply K5 Aquagaurd A (see separate data sheet) by brush as a primer coat. When K5 Aquagaurd A is wet apply the K5 Aquagaurd Wm (F at thickness of 10 mm to 15 mm and finish the surface by trowel. After 2 hour one coat apply K5 Aquagaurd A as a sealing coat.

25 kg bag. 25 kg bags yield approx. 11 Itrs. covers 1.4 m'for 10 mm thickness.

Description;

 

K5 waterrepells is supplied as ready to use. On porous surfaces K5 waterrepells provides an invisible barrier to water penetration and remains effective for many years. K5 waterrepells prolongs the clean appearance of buildings, reduces chemical attack, minimises efflorescence. Thermal and sound insulation are improved by keeping the wall dry and the risk of frost damage is reduced. It will be effective on treated clay brickwork, calcium silicate brickwork, cement-based material sand all types of natural stone masonry, including limestone.

The treatment does not block the pores and therefore 'breathing' properties of the wall are unaffected. Trapped moisture can easily dry out. K5 waterrepells is extremely effective and most surfaces require a single coat application. The life of the treatment will depend on the extent of weathering to which the surface is exposed. Due to the excellent water repellent properties of K5 waterrepells, dirt and other atmospheric impurities are washed off, by rain and its clean appearance is maintained for a longer period. The application of K5 waterrepells will considerably reduce efflorescence and because the structure remains dry, thermal and sound insulation are improved. The risk of spelling by frost action is minimized.

 

Uses:

 

K5 waterrepells is suitable for external application to exterior walls of brick or concrete blocks, cement renderings, asbestos cement, concrete and all types of stone, including limestone. Also used as an injection damp coarse fluid.

Application Instructions:

 

1. Coverage Rates : One litre of K5 waterrepells will cover between 4 and 5 m' of surface depending upon porosity and surface texture. Normally one coat is sufficient, but very porous surfaces may requirea further coat.

 

1. Preparation Of Surface : All surfaces to be treated must be sound, clean and dry. Any defects and cracks, other than hair line cracks, should be made good. Dirty surfaces should be thoroughly cleaned and organisms such as algae or lichens should be removed. In no circumstances should detergents be used as they may reduce the efficiency of the treatment. The surface should be allowed to dry before the application of K5 waterrepells. K5 waterrepells should not be applied over mastics surfaces Glass, etc. should be protected against splashing during application.

    

1. K5 waterrepells is supplied ready for use. Apply by brush or low pressure spray. The K5 waterrepells should be applied liberally so that it runs freely down the surface to about six inches below the point of application. When applying by spray, the pressure should be kept as low as possible to avoid excessive misting, and the nozzle held close to the surface. K5 waterrepellsdries within a few hours and becomes fully resistant to water 24 hours after application. Brushes, spray equipment, etc. may be cleaned with water.

Description;

K5 Watergaurd Tr is a prepacked cementitious water proofing render which is to be troweled on as a 5mm thick render normally used in conjunction with K5 Watergaurd Tr as a primer. K5 Watergaurd Tr is cementitious fibre reinforced waterproofing mortar for watertank, basement etc. Where hydrostatic pressure exists.

Uses;

For waterproofing and protection of all structures; like 8asements. Water tanks. Foundations, Retaining walls. Swimming Pools, Bridge Decks, Lift shafts. Tunnels, Dock Gates, Dams, Reservoirs. Where very high hydrostatic pressure exists, K5 Watergaurd Tr must be applied in 2 coats of Smm thickness.

Application Instructions:

SURFACE PREPARATION:

(1) All leaks and water jets must be stopped using Waterplug Compound. (Refer relevant Datasheet).

(2) All surfaces must be sound, clean and free from oil and contamination. All loose particles must be removed by wire brushing.

(3) All surfaces must be wetted thoroughly with water to allow surface absorption and excess water to be removed before application of  K5 Watergaurd Tr.

MIXING:

K5 Watergaurd Tr must be mixed in a mechanical mixer using an electric drill paddle attachment. Place the required amount of water in the container (5 to S.5 Litres of water / 25 kg bag) and during mixing add the powder slowly and mix till homogeneous trowellable consistency is obtained. (Mixing of k Fibre 125 gm / 25 Kg bag of K5 Watergaurd Tr is recommended to ensure perfect bond and waterproofing).

APPLICATION:

K5aquagaurd A as a primer coat and when K5aquagaurd A is wet apply 5mm thick K5 Watergaurd Tr mortar. Normally K5 Watergaurd Tr is used for same thickness treatment. (See Watergaurd Wm (F) application guide.)

Curing:

The K5 Watergaurd Tr applied surface must be kept under water at least for 7 days and only after that the surface should be brought to use.

Cleaning:

All tools must be cleaned with water immediately after use.

Packing & Coverage:

25 Kg HOPE bags. 25 Kg bagyields approximately 13 Litres which covers 2.6 sq. m. for 5 mm thickness.
