These Box Angle Plates are made of high duty close grained cast iron and hardness is guaranteed to be above 180 BHN. These are artificially seasoned and are offered in two grades. These are manufactured in different sizes to meet a wide range of requirements.

• GRADE 1 - plates are very carefully handscraped on all the working surfaces to accuracies conforming to Grade 1 limits.
• GRADE 2 - plates are finish machined on all working surfaces to accuracies conforming to Grade 2 limits.

These Box Angle Plates are provided with suitable number of T-Slots on working surfaces to facilitate clamping.

Matched Pairs

Matched Pairs Box Angle Plates can also be supplied. The tolerance on dimension LBH between the two units will be

• Grade 1 - 0.03 mm.
• Grade 2 - 0.08 mm.

To meet special requirements, we offer Sizes : 950 x 600 x 600, 1060 x 755 x 500, 1200 x 755 x 500.

Cast Iron Angle Plates are made of high duty close grained cast iron. They are well ribbed to minimize distortion and are artificially seasoned. These Cast Iron Angle Plates are offered in two grades as under :

• Grade 1 - plates are very carefully hand scraped on all the working surfaces to accuracies conforming to Grade 1 limits.
• Grade 2 - plates are finish machined on all the working surfaces to accuracies conforming to Grade 2 limits

Special Requirements

To meet special requirements, we offer precision matched angle blocks suitable to provide a convenient means for mounting and clamping work for boring and milling operations.

• They are made from heavy section castings.
• The working surfaces are hand scraped.
• The LBH dimensions are maintained to close tolerances.
• T-Slots are provided on the working surfaces to facilitate clamping

These Cast Iron Surface Plates are manufactured to two tolerance standards as under :

• Grade 1 - plates are more precise than Grade 2 plates. These Plates are artificially seasoned. They are hand scraped to achieve maximum local deviation from flatness of 5 microns over any length of 300 mm at any point on the working face in plates of 630 mm x 400 mm and larger. A special scraping technique is used to achieve a uniform distribution of load bearing points and oil pockets. An average of 15-20 load bearing points, after finish scraping, is standard. This finish scraping technique ensures that the area of the load bearing points increases after the initial dulling o the high points. This gaurantees a long working life, at the required accuracies.

• Grade 2 - plates are accurately machined to get the requisite flatness.

Material

These Plates are of close grained cast iron. They are amply ribbed to minimise deflection under load. The composition of the metal, the depth and cross section of the ribs and the thickness of the plate are designed to conform to the deflection limits.

Standard Accessories

Plates of Sizes 1000 mm x 1000 mm and smaller are provided with handles.

Optional Accessories

• Fabricated mild steel stands, with three levelling are offered for plates upto and including Size 1600 x 1000 mm.

• Cast Iron Column Floor Stands, each with a levelling screw and nut are offered as following scheme. (1) A set of five, three for levelling and two for support for 2000 mm x 1000 mm plate. (2) A set of seven, five for levelling and two for support for 3000 mm x 1000 mm plate.

Manufacturer and supplier  of Granite Surface Plates. These Granite Surface Plates are manufactured in Four Grades. The typical application of these Four Grades are as under :

• Grade OO - is of laboratory grade. It is specified for precision measurement in gauge rooms and metrology laboratories.
• Grade O - is of inspection grade. It is specified for general work in quality control
• Grade 1 - is of tool romm grade. It is specified for production checking work through the shop.
• Grade 2 - is of for use in shops for general inspcetion.
