Cashew Products

We offer Cashew nut shell liquid which is a co-product of the cashew nut industry and primarily a natural products where the processing involves no use of chemicals. It is a dark liquid which is comprised of different unsaturated alkenyl substituted phenols.

Application: The dual phenolic/alkenyl nature of CNSL makes it a useful natural raw material for the synthesis of water-resistant resins and polymers. Since the phenolic moiety, under both alkali and acid conditions is reactive to the electrophiles like aldehydes, there would be no requirement for a cross-linking agent as both functionalities would be inherent in every new molecule. However, the remaining alkyl aldehyde groups would increase the reactivity of the system towards cross-linking and would aid in imparting a high degree of hydrophobicity.

CNSL resin is thermosetting as well as binding resin which are in wide demand for brake lining together. These act as a good binding agent as it provides the requisite characteristics of a straight phenolic nature. These offers much flexibility, good thermal stability and higher impact resistance which cause the decrease in the co-efficient of friction. These are widely used for manufacture of asbestos and non-asbestos brake lining, disc pads and railway brake blocks.

We offer Cardanol which is also known as Card Phenol. This is manufactured from Cashew Nut Shell Liquid. A main constituent of CNSL, our manufactured cardanol is wide used for varied applications.
