  Portable Abrasive Blaster

We offer qualitative Portable Abrasive Blasters that works on Pressure Feed System resulting in high cleaning rate. The cleaning process occurs in a Pressure vessel, which is as per IS: 2825 and hydraulically tested at 250 psig for high operational efficiency. It is provided with nozzle with tungsten carbide lining for long working life.

  Suction Blasting Cabinet

We offer our clients with high performance Suction Blasting Cabinet that enables blast-cleaning operation within a confined area. The sturdy cabinet is provided with a special system wherein, a ray of abrasive particles are issued out of blast gun is projected towards a work surface inside the cabinet. The split abrasive is re-circulated till the dust and debris are separated from the system. This process is repeated till the exhaust air is clean and pollution free.

Pressure Blasting Cabinet Model ‘KUP’

Works on the Direct – Pressure principle of abrasive blasting. Abrasive Pressured in a pressure vessel and imparted forcefully to the nozzle. The media attains high velocity and thus the blasting is intensive.

Abrasive particles acquire high velocity as compared to suction blasting, giving high production output. It is best recommended for removing thick and hard deposits, de-burring and de-flashing of hard metal parts using medium to coarse grain of abrasive particles. Shot peening and stress relieving are performed to medium and high peening intensity.

Three standard models are available namely, KUP – 91/82, and KUP – 120/90 and KUP – 150/120. Custom built cabinet size with a provision of automization are also available in order to suit individual customer requirements.

  Wet Blasting Cabinet

Our Wet Blasting Cabinets Model K-W is used primarily for providing matt finish to machined surface by removing very thin deposits, scales, fine burrs with the help of multi-tooth cutting tools. The cabinets manufactured at our end works on slurry induction principle of abrasive blasting and uses fine to superfine abrasive mixed with water as slurry base. Some of its distinct features are:

 

  • Cabinet inside body is zinc metallised to prohibit corrosion.
  • A mist collector is present within the cabinet that carries wet mist and fog created inside cabinet for clear visibility during preparation.
  • Exhaust air to atmosphere is clean and pollution free.
  • The abrasives used are fine to very fine grade size as per the application.

  Vacuum Blasting Machines

In these close circuit vacuum blasting machines, abrasive blasting and abrasive recovery is simultaneous. The spent abrasive is confined in a small vicinity on the job itself and the same is pneumatically sucked and fed to abrasive storage for re-cycling.

Pneumatic suction of abrasive is affected by suction caused either with the help of compressed air or by vacuum pump or by electric motor drive blower. Various models are available to suit individual application.

1.) PORTABLE MINI VACCUM BLASTER MODEL ‘KUV – 14P’  :


This is a very handy dust free portable vacuum cleaning machine. A light weight machine weighing only 3.7 kgs and can hold abrasive upto 1.7 kgs of metallic grit. It requires 40 to 60 cfm at 90 psi. It is mostly used for touch-up work on plain or curved surface for removal of rust /  scale /  paint. Fine abrasives like aluminium oxide, plastic grit or agro based abrasives is mostly used. In fact it is a very economical hand tool.

2.) PORTABLE VACCUM BLASTING EQUIPMENT  :


The Vacuum Blasting Equipment operating principle is shown here in diagrammatic cross section. The arrows marked in green indicates abrasive flow that is pressure fed from the pressure vessel / abrasive tank (A)  to the blast gun (B) and it is vacuum recovered via vacuum hose to the reclaimer unit (C). The gun body is specially designed to hold blast nozzle as well as the recovery hose. A nylon brush surrounds the gun body to prevent the escape of abrasive and dust. The blast gun remains in close touch with the surface to be cleaned. The reusable abrasive is air washed and sieved and returned to abrasive tank (A) for reuse. Dust and debris are trapped by the cyclone (D) and dust collector (E). Reverse air flow (vacuum) is created by compressed ‘Air Ejector’ or by vacuum pump (F). The complete equipment is mounted on castors which facilitate movement along the work site.  Atomized gun maneuvering with crawler unit (optional) can be provided on demand. However, this equipment is not suitable for irregular and complex shaped surface profiles, until and unless a special brush is developed.

KU – SB – SP2  :

KUSHAL UDHYOG have manufactured and supplied equipment working on the ‘Induction – Suction’ principle of Abrasive Blasting. The supplied equipment is suitable for Glass Bead Blasting of Studs Weldment area for the removal of black scales generated during welding of threaded studs. The equipment is provided with the function of Motorized Turn Table with Satellite Indexing facility. Operator merely has to load unblasted components and unload blasted components from the fixtures provided on the rotating satellites. Provided with indigenous Dust Collector System and Reclaimer assembly with Storage Tank for continuous feeding of the media to the Blast Guns. Any extent of automation can be provided according to customers requirement.

KU – SB – SP4  :

KUSHAL UDHYOG have got the opportunity to design and supply turn key solution for De-burring of I.D. of shafts having multiple holes inside. The length of the shaft was 515 mm and production output desired was 1000 nos. per day (aprox.).

The equipment works on the ‘Pressure Feed’ principle of Abrasive Blasting. The supplied equipment is designed for continuous and un – obstructed blasting operation for which two pressure vessels with Reclaimer Assembly and storage tank is provided. The equipment is also provided with the function of Motorized Turn Table with Satellite Indexing Facility. A uniquely designed job fixture arrangement is capable of holding 6 shafts at a time. Operator merely has to load unblasted components and unload blasted components from the fixtures provided on the Rotating Turn Table. Provided with indigenous Dust Collector System with motorized bag shaking arrangement. The operation and sequence of the machine is controlled by PLC with digital display outside the panel. Easy operating On / Off Push Buttons are provided on the panel for convenience in operating the machine.

The machine can be modified for cleaning external surface of cylindrical and symmetrical shaped components like cookwares prior to ‘Teflon Coating’, cylinder heads, automobile sleeves etc.

Roll Etching Machine Model ‘KUP – 206080’ SPL :

KUSHAL UDHYOG have successfully manufactured and supplied rotor etching  machine which works on the ‘Pressure Feed’ principle of Abrasive Blasting. The supplied equipment is used for etching the surface of Rotor for Submersible pumps. The rotor diameter may vary from 100 mm to 250 mm. Operator has to load  the rotor on to the centres / fixtures provided. The Blasting gun is mounted on the top of the cabinet and is provide with mechanical horizontal reciprocation for the gun. The Blast stream from the blast gun is thus made to travel through out the length of the rotor in order to etch its surface. The length and diameter can vary as per specific requirements. Provided with indigenous Dust Collector System and Reclaimer assembly with Storage Tank for continuous feeding of the media to the Blast Guns. Various Models are available and can be custom built as per customer requirements.

Similarly the machine can be used as roll Etching machines for sheet rolling mills where the pressing rolls are etched to get desired surface roughness. Suitable fabric bag dust collector is also incorporated to keep the blasting process environment friendly.
