An EFFICIENT VERSATILE, yet COST EFFECTIVE EXTINGUISHING AGENT

Environmental impact of various CFC chemicals has threatened depletion of ozone layer. Hence  their usage is either stopped or drastically reduced as per Montreal protocol. This has led to deprive us one of very efficient extinguishing agent Halon gas.

CFEES has taken lead in developing substitute–Dry Chemical Powder based on Mono Ammonium Phosphate, a multipurpose extinguishing agent suitable for all classes of fire.

K.V. Fire has entered into a technology transfer agreement with CFEES to produce an innovative multi purpose, environmental friendly dry powder to fight all classes of fire risks.

Flame propagation is due to the chain reaction of the free radicals. CFEES-KV-GREEN interferes with this chain propagation by reacting and absorbing the free radicals.

Water vapour, which is released due to decomposition in the flame zone, brings about cooling. Besides this a glossy layer of H₂P₂O₆ is formed on the burning surface, which cuts off air and extinguishes the fire.

• KV - Lite SP (Class K): Suitable for K-Class fire risks at kitchen. KV- LITE SP Foam is a specially formulated ready to use foam with fire suppression systems. It is an efficient fire-extinguishing agent for grease related fires, cooking appliances, deep fat fryers, broilers, hoods and duct works.

1. It provides a very fast flame knock down and complete securement of grease related fires, due to the fine droplets produced (atomized).

• Spill Controller : Vapor suppressants are used to get time to act but they are not useful in physical removal of the spilled materials. Spill will be required to be absorbed and physically removed from the place of incident and transfer to treatment/disposal area. KV Lite Super Absorb is spread gently on the surface of spill and left undisturbed for 20-30 minutes. It is then remove with suitable means to sealed containers and send for disposal.
