Ethyl Iodide

Ethyle Iodide also known as Iodoethane is also formulated in our company, this compound is colorless and can be highly flammable. Its chemical formulation takes place by heating ethanol with iodine and phosphorus and its chemical formula is C2H51. On being exposed to air and especially to light, it decomposes and turns yellow or reddish from the state of dissolved iodine. Ethyl iodide is considered very good with alkylation reactions. It is also used as a thickening agent and binder in paints, cosmetics and similar products.
