About UsThe Lalbaba Group of Industries was founded in 1961 by two brothers. Mr. B.L. Dhanuka and Mr. M.L. Dhanuka in Howrah which was the heart of Melting and Processing units of ferrous based industries in the then India, by setting up a small pneumatic forging and fabrication unit. In the true sense they started it from a scratch. But their quest for building up a group of industries, which could confidently rule over the others of its kind for several decades to come, has brought them in today's position. The journey is still on and the Lalbaba Group has successfully made diversification in different aspects of their business.
For the last four decades the organization grew up at a very steady rate. It is not a very easy sailing job and the entrepreneur had have faced several odd things on their way. But the challenge was taken and met quite successfully. It is a well known fact that the scenario in the Global Market has been changing so rapidly that one could not seat reluctantly with its proven brand quality. The concept has been changed from the ¿Sellers Market¿ to ¿Buyers Market¿ With an abundance of production capacity worldwide, the customer has greater freedom of choice and will exercise that freedom increasingly. To counteract this, the organization, Lalbaba Group of Industries adopted the concept and methodology of ¿Quality Function Deployment' successfully. The organization manufacture the products by bringing together the lifecycle of a product from its conception, through design, manufacture distribution and use, until the product has, in the costomer's opinion, served its expected life. By this process the customer enjoys the additional feature in any of the durability, reliability and quality field and the organization achieves a clear cut edge over the competitors.
The Lalbaba Group has also set up one metallurgical laboratory to establish a fool- proof method of their differentmetal working process and product control. The laboratory function is two folded;
¿ It acts as a supporting unit to carry out all the required material testing and inspection for the other units of the group.
¿ It has got its own customer base.
The laboratory is accredited by several inspection agencies and National Accredition Board for Testing & Calibration ( NABL ), New Delhi. In India, NABL authority acts in association with APLAC.
For the very first time in Eastern India, Industrial Development & Testing Laboratory got the accredition in accordance with ISO/IEC 17025:1999 in the field of mechanical and chemical testing in 57 different test categories from NABL, Department of Science & technology, India. |
