• Liberty Shoes wins the Golden Peacock Innovation Award for the second time.
• The last time they won it was in 2005. And now they have done an encore in 2007.
• A distinguished jury headed by Justice P N Bhagwati, former Chief Justice of India, selected Liberty Shoes for the Golden Peacock Innovation Award for 2007.
• The award was presented for their AC shoes, which symbolize a quantum leap in innovative footwear created for hot and humid climates, in an august gathering that included political and business leaders from 20 countries.
• The AC shoes, as the name suggests, are shoes that keep the feet cool and comfortable even in the most trying conditions.
• This latest recognition is certainly not the last that one would be hearing about a company whose long legacy of innovation has time and again established it as the pathfinder for the Indian footwear industry.

Amity Corporate Excellence Award  [06-FEB-08]

• Amity International Business School has accorded a special honor to Liberty Shoes Ltd. for outshining the competition with their distinct vision, innovation, competitiveness and sustenance.
• A two phase selection process was followed to identify the deserving corporate.
• In the first phase a study was conducted of various Indian companies across 20 different sectors.
• In the final phase a student poll involving management graduates from various institutions across the country was conducted where they were asked to vote for the company they admired most on the basis of a pre-set questionnaire.
• On the basis of the response received the final nomination list of companies was prepared.
• And from among the final nominees Liberty Shoes Ltd. was chosen for the Amity Corporate Excellence Award.
• The award will be given to the Company at the School’s Valedictory Function on February 23, 2007.

Liberty Wins 2005-06 Export Award  [06-FEB-08]

• The Council for Leather Exports has presented the plaque for non leather footwear exports as well as the brand promotion award for non leather footwear to Liberty Shoes Ltd.
• For a company whose history is all about turning brand India into a global acclaimed brand this latest recognition is an affirmation of a cherished belief that they have what it takes to make a mark in the highly competitive international arena.
• It all began in 1964 Liberty Shoes bagged the first export order of 50,000 pairs of footwear from Czechoslovakia.
• Building on that small beginning Liberty went on to emerge as the largest exporter of shoes to Russia.
• Currently the footprints of Liberty’s export drive are to be seen even in the highly fashion conscious countries including Italy, France, Germany, UK, USA, Canada, Hungary, Bulgaria among others.
