Backed by innovative designs & cutting edge technology, our "Liberty" Electronic Ballasts are widely demanded in the market due to following features:

• Energy saving through Liberty ballasts is by 35% to 50%. Power consumption is 35% less than copper Ballast and 50% less than Aluminum Ballast at 240V AC. At higher voltage power saving is also high.
  

• Due to less VA consumption, over all KVA loads is reduced to 35%. Circulating currents in the system are reduced to more than 3 times. This reduces a heat load on the wiring. Load on generator & supply transformers is also reduced substantially. consequentially, life of the supply transformer increases. Liberty Ballasts operate at an input voltage range of 100-300V for the rated voltage of 240V AC, 50 Hz. These have minimum power factor of 0.95.
  

• Because of the high power factor of Liberty ballasts (0.95), the VA load on the system is reduced thereby eliminating the need for power factor correction KVR capacitors. Low power factor Ballast consume high current and this make the latest Digital meters run very faster.
  

• Constant light (lumen) level is maintained irrespective of the changes in input line. Unlike magnetic ballasts, Liberty ballasts can take care of voltage variations in the range of 180V to 250V without compromising the light output. They do not require any voltage stabilizer.
  

• Overall heat in the room space is also reduced. The working temperature of conventional ballasts is approximately 120° C, while that of Liberty ballasts is only 40° C at an ambiance of 27° C. In effect, the load on air conditioners is reduced resulting in power saving.
  

• There is no flickering problem while switching on the lamp. Liberty Ballasts are of Rapid start type and maintain cathode heat during operation. It enhances the life of fluorescent lamps.
  

• Liberty Ballasts are in compliance with EMI and RFI limits set. They do not interfere with normal electrical equipment. The lamp is totally isolated from voltage variations of the input supply and can last till its rate life.
  

• The harmonics generated by Liberty ballasts are less than 10%-30%. This increases the life of supply generators and does not disturb incoming supply voltage. Recent studies have revealed that if more harmonics are generated the conventional meters run faster.
  

• Liberty Ballasts are tested and approved at Electrical Research & Development Association (ERDA), Baroda as per IS: 1 3021 (Part-1) Safety and has been issued H mark by B.I.S, New Delhi.

Requirements of Ballasts:

Considering these problems, ferromagnetic or electronic ballasts are used to provide power supply to the lighting unit.

• Ferromagnetic Ballasts

In case of ferromagnetic ballasts, it is difficult to supply constant power to a lamp without increasing the size, cost and watt loss of the ballast. Be it electronic or ferromagnetic ballast, they generally comply with the specified requirements, but at the 'rated voltage'.

• Electronic Ballasts
  

In case of electronic ballasts, almost all manufacturers claim operation at voltages ranging between 170V to 300V, but the power delivered to the lamp is not constant and it is often outside the prescribed limits.
