Description:-

We have measured the level of receiving tank by installing of level transmitter &outlet raw juice flow with the help of magnetic or mass flow meter. Above two signal are feed to microprocessor based PID controller, which campers the level as well as flow of raw juice with the set point & it generate error signal to the pneumatic control valve or frequency drive (for raw juice pump) to avoid overflow of receiving tank & dry running of raw juice pump
Sugar factories running with out this system facing following problems

1.Pumping of excess raw juice to the boiling house.                     
2.Frequently dry running of raw juice pump.

Juice Heater Temperature Control System.

Juice Heater Temperature Control System.
One of the most important physical parameter in sugar industries is temperature of juice at different stages. Heating of raw juice before clarification & filtration process helps to get better flocculation & consequently it gives the thicker mud. If juice gets heated more than specific temperature, range, clarified juice gets colored. Overheating of raw juice at diff. stages can be avoided through the use of properly selected temp control system. In this system simple control loop is used. Temperature sensor like thermocouple/ RTD is installed on the outlet pipe of the heater. Temp sensor generates the mV & it measured by the digital temperature Controller. It compares measured value with set value & sends the error signal to the solenoid valve to actuate the pneumatic operating valve.

Contineous Or Film Type Sulpher Burner

In clarification process chamber type Sulpher burner generally used in sugar factory for sulphination. To neutralize the lime juice So2 gas is used. So2 gas is produced by combustion of raw sulpher in batch type sulpher burner or auto continuous sulpher burners. There are many drawbacks in burning sulpher in batch type burners. These are given below.

Raw sulpher is melted in R.M.S. & stored in M.S.R. at pre-determined temperature molten sulpher contiuously feed to M.S.C.C. through feeder pipe. Molten sulpher combustion chamber is HORSE-SHOE type fabricated from S.S. /M.S. effective burning chamber is used to burn particles of sulpher. Cooler & scrubber unit is used to decrease the temperature of So2 gas at 70-80 oC for homogeneous of gas with raw juice.

It is an ultra modern design to separate the grit by three components multi-plan mechanical vibrating screen. You get a real milk of lime by separating the grit even of the microns size. Special application of grit separator.

The APS vibro screen is a circular vibrating screen. The motivation is through a motor with a double extended shaft, fitted at both ends with eccentric weighs. The whole drive assembly is mounted on a circular base by rugged springs which allows the unit to vibrate freely at the same time the spring prevents transmitted vibration reaching the floor area on which the machine stands.
Material is feed from top over size material is separated by the vibration of the screen; small size material passes through desired mesh screen. Top & bottom weight adjustment gives the variations in vertically or horizontally.

Juice / Syrup Sulphitor With Ph System (Single /Two / Three Loop System).

In sulphitation process accurate lime mixing with respective to the pH of juice is necessary to fulfill the above requirement. Following parameters are monitored & controlled.

1 Raw juice flow. 
2 M.O.L. flow. 
3 M.O.L. Brix. 
4 inlet & outlet pH at sulphitor. 
5 Retention time of sulphitor.

pH of sulphited juice is measured at the outlet of sulphitor.
pH sensor installed at the outlet of raw juice cooler. It sends the signal to the controller (PID), which compares the measured value with the set value & controls the lime proportion unit (motorized lime feed valve).
Final pH of sulphited juice is recorded on strip chart recorder (optional).

Advantages:-

  1. Continuous on line monitoring & controlling of sulphited pH is possible.  
  2. Clarity & purity of juice / syrup get improved.  
  3. It is possible to maintain the pH with 6.9 to 7.2 range. 
  4. reductions in lime & so2 get consumption.

Types Of System:-

1 SINGLE LOOP pH CONTROL SYSTEM: - In single loop pH control system, pH of the sulphited juice is measured with the combine glass electrode & the signal transmitter to PID controller. This controls the automatic control valves of lime. Single loop pH system controls the final lime process of sulphitation.

2 DOUBLE LOOP pH CONTROL SYSTEM: - pH measurement of shocked limed juice is feed to microprocessor based PID controller, which equilates the flow of lime. In second loop pH measured at the outlet of sulphitor & correction is carried out with the help of second loop of lime.

2 THREE LOOP pH CONTROL SYSTEM: - in three loop pH control system we have measured & controlled following parameters. Three loop pH control system helps to keep the pH within allowable range. Third loop gives the advantages to maintain the concentration of So2.

Measurement: - 1 pH of shock limed juice.   
                             2 pH at outlet of sulphiter for correction.
                             3 pH indication of final pH.

Controlling: - 1 controlling on shock lime.
                        2 controlling on correction lime.
                         3 controlling on secondary air of sulpher burner.

As per this system each loop monitors & controls the shock lime & So2 gas concentration indecently.

Single Entry / Multi Jet Condenser. (Ss Or Ms With Temp & Vacuum Control System)

In sugar industry boiling of mass cute is carried out under vacuum to avoid the inversion of sugar as well as to obtain maximum exertion of mother liquor. Performance of whole boiling house depends upon the vacuum, injection & spray pond systems. Vacuum condition on evaporated & pan floor, drastically affects the boiling time in boiling house. To maintain the vacuum condition within control & to get the desired effect, automatic control on spray water as well as on jet water is very necessary.

Description

There are two independent loops are used for spray & jet water control. First loop is the temperature control loop, in which temp of condensate outlet & spray water inlet is measured. Differential temperature controller is used to control the spray water to maintain the temperature difference of inlet spray water & condense water outlet @ 15 oC. Second loop is the vacuum control loop, in this loop vacuum is measured with the help of vacuum transmitter installed on the pan or evaporated body. Single loop PID controller compares the actual vacuum with the set point & controls the jet water to maintain the vacuum.

Separation of molasses from mass cute depends on the inlet mass cute temperature To obtain this, it is recommended that the system should be installed in between pug mill & ‘C’ centrifugal m/c. co-efficient of heat transfer ratio increases under vacuum as well as vapour to the liquid (hot water) to semi solid(mass cute). Above principle is used in instant heater instate of liquid to semi-solid in this energy saving instant heaters self generated low temperature vapour produce on small heater, which is called VAPOURIZER THERMIC FLUID is filled in vapourizer & low temperature vapour is generated using steam. Produced vapour gets condensed after heating the mass cute, condensate line of vapour connected at the bottom of the vaporizer, so same condense is reused. It saves the THERMIC FLUID. On control system side temperature of vapours measured with the help of temperature Sensor & measured signal feed to an electronic temperature controller, it compares the actual temp of vapour with set point. Output of the controller actuates the solenoid valve to operate pneumatic steam valve. This arrangement is kept under vacuum & avoids the inversion of sugar.

S.H.W.W.is used for the washing or removing thin layer of molasses from the crystals of sugar. Shining of the sugar crystals directly depends on the performance of the SHWW system.
In SHWW system water of 120 oC is used for washing. Temp of water rose from 70 to 120 oC or predetermined temperature water of 70 oC is passed from four pass tube & shell type heat exchanger. Water passes through tube & steam will be at outside of tubes. Outlet water temp measured with the help of temp sensor & measured signals feed   to the ON/OFF type controller, it controls the pneumatic steam control valve to control the steam of heat exchanger.

Molasses Conditioner / Suger Meltor (With Brix & Temp Control System)

Brix is defined as the percent of sucrose by weight in pure sugar solution. By common usages it has come to mean percent weight of total solids in sugar solution having an arbitrary scale based on density. The brix measurement & control of sugar solution, juice & liquor in raw sugar. White sugar manufacturing as well as in allied food processing where sugar solution & similar liquids are used. Density-measuring devices involving hydrometers, double dip tube bubbles & monometer have been available. These sampling methods are not useful for continuous process.
The on line brix system is based on a weight of column of sugar liquor, by periodic time interval.

Description: -

Sampling unit is connected to molasses conditioner or sugar melter with necessary fixing arrangement. Brix sensor installed at distance “h”. It represents the head in inches of water column for which the brix transmitters adjusted (or conductivity type brix sensor).
For example, the brix measuring column is filled with water or liquor at zero degree brix. The pressure produced on the brix sensor (pressure transmitter) will be the same as the density of molasses or liquor. Brix controller compares the measured brix with set brix & controls the molasses- diluting valve. In second loop, temp of the brix is measured & controlled by simple temp control system. It senses brix temp & controls steam valve.
