The installation space and cost is reduced as it can contain 400 kVAr in a single container giving the kVAr to volume ratio.

The edge of the aluminium foil is folded so that no sharp points are left as it’s sharp points causes high stress at the sharp points at the slit edges (corona effect), which damages the capacitor.
