Acid Dyes are colored substances in which the component responsible for imparting color is an anion. To intensify the staining, these are applied from an acidic solution and are sold as Sodium salts in the solution as anionic form. We offer a quality range of Acid Dyes that is used in various industries like textile and various laboratories. These are able to fix to the fibers because of their high Van Der Waals Forces, hydrogen bonding, and ionic bonding property. Our product finds use in the following applications:
- Laboratories: The acid used is vinegar (acetic acid) or citric acid. Sodium chloride controls the uptake rate of the dye.
- Textiles: The dyes are used for dying protein fibers like wool, alpaca, mohair, silk, and synthetic fibers like nylon.
- Staining: Used for research and microscopic examination, these dyes are used in the coloring of basic tissue proteins.
Depending on the fastness need, economy, and level dyeing properties,
acid dye can be categorized in to three classes. However, there is no proper distinction of the classes and they overlap. These generally depend on the type of fiber to be colored and process employed.
Since the animal protein fibers and synthetic fibers contain cationic sites, it is easier for the acid dyes to bind strongly as these have an anionic bond. The fastness is dependent on the affinity of the dye for water and thus it remains dissolved in it. The features of our product are mentioned below:
- High penetration
- Optimum solubility
- Apt color brightness
- Adequate dying
