{METALEX PG1}

Description:

This is powder type alkaline degreasers, which used for removal of oil and grease from the metal surface without attacking the base metal. This chemical is mix in water in recommended quantity if 1:3 i.e. 1 part of METELEX PG 1 and 3 parts of water. The removal of oil and grease is to be done either by swab or by hot water dipping.

Auto parts and sheet metal components.

Use container:

Rigid Plastic, FRP Coated containers, Stainless steel, etc.

Use Method: 

Dipping, spraying, ultrasonic cleaning.

Physical property:

• Appearance: Powder.

Dosage: 

Prepare about 75 kgs of industrial water or tap water. Then slowly add 25 kgs of Metlex PG 1 into the water. Keep stirring till fully dissolved before use

Treating time:

• 2- 5 minutes.

Safety precautions:

The solution is alkaline in nature and therefore while using it, the worker should wear alkali resisting gloves.

METELEX PG1 is an alkaline decreasing chemical used for the removal of light oil and grease, from ferrous surfaces by dipping process. It is recommended specially to remove the excess oil and grease initially by solvent wiping or by high pressure cold water spray to increase the bath life of METELEX PG1. It is suitable for degreasing CRCA, galvanized and ternne coated sheets effectively.

Product Operating Data:

• Concentration: 1 kgs. Per 10 ltr/bath
• Method: Wiping
• Time: 60 to 150 secs
• Temperature:  45-50° C

Product Operating Procedure:

Fill the tank with in the 2/3 of water and heat it upto 45°c, and then add required amount of METELEX PG 1 with continuous stirring at the time of addition. Fill the tank bath to the operating level and increase the temperature 45-50°c.Wiping can be done in cold form also Thorough rinsing is required after use of METELEX PG 1 solution from the surface of the works.

Product Application Equipment:

METELEX PG 1 tank should be fabricated with 3-4 mm thick M.S. Plates with continuous convection current heating from the heating source and continuous agitation system.

Safety Measures:

METELEX PG 1 contact with eyes, and clothing should be avoided and proper safety precautions are to be taken by operators, by using gloves, goggles and safety clothing's. In case of accident the effected parts should be continuously flushed with plenty of water and immediately consult a physician.

General Information:

METELEX PG 1 can be used in cold form also.
