Mangal Turbine is a low-cost and efficient 'fuel-less Turbine pump-cum-P.T.O. Machine' (Indian patent no. 177190 dated 13/11/1997 & patent no. 228404 dated 20/10/2008 from 2004 to 2024 for improvement). This can be used to harness the energy of flowing water to lift water for irrigation purposes and also carry out many other rural works such as operating various cottage industries,operating flour mill,sugarcane crushing,threshing,oil expelling and chaff cutting. Drinking water can be provided by lifting water from rivers in remote areas in many thousands villages.Power can also be generated by using Mangal Turbine. It requires low water heads up to one metre which can be done by constructing low cost check dams,or using existing check dams.
Irrigation facility can also be provided to the farmers who are lifting water from rivers and streams by using diesel and electric motor pumps. The cost of lift irrigation can be reduced drastically by using this device. Any machine that helps to avoid the use of diesel and electricity should be greatly welcome in these times of energy crisis and climate change.
Many Lakhs million qubic meters water has been conseved/stored by Mangal Singh without any government help.
