Attrition Mills
Attrition Mills

We design and engineer attrition mills of highest quality. Vertical type attrition mills are designed to grind the charge materials in to fine particles with total emulsification and dispersion.

The shaft with multiple arms is directly driven by motor. The grinding media with the medium speed motor creates accelerated movements. This aids in achieving the required fine ness of the charge material.

Ball Mills
Ball Mills

We at Manu Enterprises manufacture and export batch and continuous type ball mills mainly for the coatings, minerals and metal powder industries. Ball mills are one of the oldest and safest methods for grinding a wide range of materials of hardness upto 8 on mohs scale. It can be used for grinding of any material wet, dry or sticky.

Ball mills consists of cylindrical shell rotating on a horizontal axis mounted on a sturdy mild steel frame. Both end plates of the mill are strongly designed to withstand the rotational load of the mill charged with the grinding medium and the material to be processed. Openings are provided through which the grinding medium and the material to be processed is loaded and discharged.

Drive

The ball mills are driven by motor coupled to the reduction gearbox with chain and sprocket arrangement or V belt. The ball mills are fabricated from mild steel, rubber lined and stainless steel.

Pug Mills
Pug Mills

Pug Mills are used for continuous mixing :
  • Fertilizers
  • Clays
  • Heavy Chemicals
  • Foods
  • Animal Feeds
  • Power Plant Waste
Pug mills are also used for pugging a wide range of materials from medium to heavy viscosity. Dry materials are also mixed or reacted with vehicles or binders. The construction materials (troughs and blades) in contact with the material being mixed can be stainless steel, common metals, hastelloy, inconel or nickel. The troughs are double "U" section with center saddle.

These can also be abrasion resistant steel lined, and/or jacketed for heating or cooling medium circulation. They accommodate two parallel shafts fitted with overlapping type blades for fast, thorough, progressive processing. Pug mills are normally driven through one motor with spur gearing.

These pug mills are available with belt, chain or direct driven configurations. Both shafts are equipped with stuffing boxes on the charging end. The discharging end may be equipped with shaft seals or stuffing boxes, depending on location of mixer outlet. Power inputs are available from 10 H.P onwards. The product discharge may be over a regulated weir, from the bottom of the trough, side of the trough, or over an angled chute. Apart from standard sizes, we also offer custom-build pug mills with covers in various lengths and widths to suit your process requirements. Pug mill units are available in single or double shaft units for specified applications. The units are available with adjustable pitched blades or bolted fin type.

Sand Mills
Sand Mills

These sand mills are used mainly by the paint, ink and coating industries for size reduction and dispersing of pigments in liquids. The particle size reduction upto 2 micron is possible in a single pass. The material to be processed is pumped from the bottom of the mill into the milling chamber, which is filled with grinding media of 3mm dia. The media is agitated by a shaft fitted with a number of impeller discs along its length.

As the material moves upwards, it is subjected to high hydraulic and shearing forces between the grinding media, which results in fine grinding of the material. This material then passes through the screen that separates the media from the process material. All sand mills are provided with a jacket arrangement for cooling the material in the grinding chamber.

Optional : grinding media and pressurized mills

Submersible Basket Mills
Submersible Basket Mills

The Premier submersible basket mills are an exceptionally versatile dispersion system that can be applied to a wide range of processing industries.

Now High Efficiency is Simplicity Itself.

The submersible basket mills have redefined batch dispersion systems. This design insures that your materials pass through the high density dispersion zone within the milling chamber at a high frequency. This system offers a high degree of dispersion which can be many times more efficient than traditional media milling systems. Best of all, this exceptional level of efficiency is achieved without pipes, pumps or material transfer. The simplicity of the submersible basket mills system allows for very high material yields from batch to batch, as high as 99%. This means less clean-up and a reduction in waste solvents. Premixing, dispersion, compounding and dilution are all accomplished in a single unit that requires less space, less time and less energy to achieve bigger results.

Features and Benefits:
  • Milling chamber design eliminates by-passing and inconsistent dispersion.
  • Separate variable speed drives provide exceptional flexibility in mixing and dispersion.
  • Because material flow is created by vortex action and centrifugal force, media overflow into the batch is eliminated.
  • Impellers provide even circulation, ensure uniform dispersion, and allow a wider range of processing viscosities.
  • Impellers are mounted on independent shafts and feature a separate variable speed drive.
  • Operating speeds may be controlled manually or through an automated process controller.
  • Side walls and bottom of the processing tank are jacketed along with the top of the milling chamber for efficient control of product temperature.
  • Portable tank with non-sparking casters provides mobility for packaging or cleaning.
  • Clean-up and product changeover are accomplished in less than 30 minutes on most products.

Planetery Mixers
Planetery Mixers

We are suppliers of planetary mixers used to :
  • Mix Paints
  • Adhesives
  • Pharmaceuticals
  • Foods
  • Chemicals
  • Electronics
  • Plastics
  • Pigments
This mixer is perfect for mixing and kneading viscous pastes under atmospheric or vacuum conditions.Planetary mixers combine a planetary blade and a high-speed dispersion blade. The planetary and the high-speed disperser blades rotate on their own axes and also rotate continuously around the vessel. Both agitators are in constant motion. The planetary blade feeds materials directly into the high shear zone of the orbiting high-speed disperser. High-speed dispersion can take place in the same mix vessel that will be used to blend in shear sensitive, viscosity building components. We offer various capacities range of planetary mixers from 1/2-pint through 750 gallons. Many options including jacketing for heating or cooling, vacuum or pressure, vari speed drives, etc are also available.

Lab Mixers
Lab Mixers

We supply a variety of mixers according to various requirements and specifications of the customers and industry. The Lab Mixes are used extensively in the processing of Newtonian products, where the saw tooth impeller works at high peripheral speed, (up to 30 mt/sec) developing high shearing forces. The vacuum is achieved through special seals between the cover and edge of the pan. A vacuum pump is chosen according to the properties of the mixing goods. (Normally rotary vane or liquid ring pumps). The impeller can be raised or lowered while working under vacuum, in order to reach maximum efficiency
