The wax-like surface of the plaslic films is normally inert towards surface cotling. To enable sucessful printing, coating & laminating the plastic film needs to be pre-treated. "TREATWEL", the high voltage/high frequency Corona Treated increases surface tension of the film & makes it receptive to printing, laminating, coaling by inducing molecular changes in the film. Models are available from 1 KVA to 10 KVA for single Phase & Three Phase Operation.

PRINCIPLE of OPERATION:
Surface treatment is required for plastic films whose normal surface tension is not sufficiently high to permit good wetting by flexo graphic links or lamination by providing molecular changes in the surface of the film. During treatment the film is fed through a high voltage such a way that its wet ability i.e. surface tension increases and becomes capable o I providing "bonding" wilh ink. lamination adhesives, paper and foils.

Principle of Operation:
The surrounding atmostphere is ionised by applying high voltage on a sharp point, in close proximity with grounded electrodes. The air breaks into positive & negative ions. Any plastic or non-conductive material has lons on the surface & as such cannot have polarity. Foil charger produces single polarity charge in the electrode. The high voltage on the electrode produces Ions to charge the surface of the film. It is used for charging BOPP / Polystyrene/ PP foil material to enable them to stick to mould.
