| Air Cannon Accessories BIG BLASTER® Air Cannons have been used around the world to prevent buildups and improve material flow. Martin Engineering is the leader in the application of air cannon technology to over come bottlenecks and boost flow through high capacity vessels. For recommendations for a specific application, contact a Martin Engineering representative. Air Cannons![]() Martin Engineering offers a full line of Air Cannon technologies; representing both established traditional designs and the latest leading-edge innovations in valve design, as well as hybrid and multiple-valve and -port technologies. BIG BLASTER® Air Cannons discharge compressed air into a solid storage or process vessel to dislodge buildups and improve material flow.
The air cannon products from Martin Engineering feature cold-welded air tanks that—when signaled—discharge the stored air through a special valve in an instant eruption. BIG BLASTER® Air Cannons are highly effective, low maintenance systems suitable for application in the most adverse conditions. Systems engineering and guaranteed installation are available. Martin Engineering is the originator of air cannon technology.
Multi-Port Air Cannon System![]() The Multi-Port Air Cannon System uses a single air reservoir with a control unit to replace up to eight traditional, tank-and-valve air cannons. A centralized unit provides less exposure to heat and dust for moving parts and personnel.
Since 1974 Martin Engineering has been the world leader in the development and application of air cannon systems to enhance flow and eliminate bottlenecks in large storage vessels. With a sequence of full-force discharges through a series of ports into the vessel, MARTIN® Multiple Port Technology combines improved discharge efficiency with simplified installation and maintenance. Systems engineering and guaranteed installation are available. For recommendations for your specific application, contact a Martin Engineering representative. Air Cannon Controller![]() The BIG BLASTER® Air Cannon Controller controls the discharge sequence for a system of up to ten BIG BLASTER® Air Cannons. The BIG BLASTER® Air Cannon Controller energizes the system's solenoid valves, discharging the air cannons to prevent blockages and buildups and maintain material flow.
Model also available for Sonic Horn Since 1974, BIG BLASTER® Air Cannons have been used around the world to prevent buildups and improve material flow. Martin Engineering is the leader in the application of air cannon technology to overcome bottlenecks and boost flow through high-capacity vessels.
Sonic Horns![]() MARTIN® Sonic Horns Sonic horns generate and magnify low-frequency, high-pressure sound waves to cause dry particulate build-up to resonate and fluidize, allowing the material to be removed from the vessel by constant gas flow or gravity. BENEFITS
APPLICATIONS
Air Cannon Blast Guard![]() MARTIN® Air Cannon Blast Guard provides a safety barrier that allows timely maintenance of air cannon valves. The Air Cannon Blast Guard is designed for air cannon systems in high temperature processes like pre-heater towers and clinker coolers Allows Efficient Maintenance Slide gate safety valve allows timely maintenance on air cannons in high temperature processes without requiring the tank be dismounted. Improve Employee Safety Shelters workers from exposure to severe heat, gases, and high temperature material. Secure, Yet Simple to Operate Sliding shield operates under tough conditions, yet can be locked out to prevent intrusion. Simple to Install Sliding shield bolts between air cannon valve and mounting flange. Fits any Make of Air Cannon MARTIN® Air Cannon Blast Guard is available for any air cannon with 4-inch or 6-inch discharge.
Since 1974, BIG BLASTER® Air Cannons have been used around the world to prevent buildups and improve material flow. Martin Engineering is the leader in the application of air cannon technology to overcome bottlenecks and boost flow through high-capacity vessels. Removable Nozzle![]() MARTIN® Removable Nozzle provides a safe, efficient and cost-effective method for nozzle replacement and maintenance. The MARTIN® Removable Nozzle is designed for air cannon systems in high temperature processes like pre heater towers and clinker coolers. Save Maintenance Time and Shorten Outages Using a permanent-mount mating collar, nozzles are removed and replaced during refractory change out without cutting, welding or cannon removal. Faster nozzle replacement means plant goes back on-line quicker. Protects Employees Prevents safety hazards on scaffolding and lifting injuries with air cannon removal and reinstallation.
Simple to Install Reduces the length of shutdowns through faster, easier and more accurate nozzle maintenance and replacement. Fits any Make of Air Cannon MARTIN® Removable Nozzles are available for any air cannon with 4-inch discharge.
Since 1974, BIG BLASTER® Air Cannons have been used around the world to prevent buildups and improve material flow. Martin Engineering is the leader in the application of air cannon technology to overcome bottlenecks and boost flow through high-capacity vessels. Big Blaster Piston Return Reservoir![]() BIG BLASTER® Piston Return Reservoir Shortens duration of blast, without reducing force, so air cannons system stays effective while consuming less air. Cut Consumption, Maintain Force Air cannons stay powerful and effective while consuming less air, and shortening the refill cycle time. Saving Air Means Saving Money Cut air cannon use of plant air by 50%, with resulting savings on plant efficiency and air cost. Simple Upgrade Retrofits onto BIG BLASTER® TORNADO Air Cannon valves.
