Infrastructurehrough our sister concerns, we have executed various projects that are in the field of Gas Pipeline, Irrigation, Sewage Treatment, Drainage System construction, Railway works and minor road works. Currently, the MBT Group along with our strategic partners, PVR Projects Ltd. has taken up the installation of Electronic Water Flumes, which determine the volume of water that flows through a canal/Channel. We have setup multiple pilot projects in India and are about to being the execution of the largest project of it's kind in the world, on the Nagarjuna Sagar Project under the NSP modernization scheme. This new system will give instantaneous data to the Multiple government agencies about the exact volume of water flowing in the entire irrigation system at any given point in time, with the data being transmitted through GSM technology. This will help in flood control and more importantly, a fairer system of 'cess levied' as tax on the land by the Government, as all farmers do not benefit equally from the waters from the NSP dam, but under the current rules, all farmers pay an equal cess. The World Bank is funding 75% of this project through the Government of Andhra Pradesh. This is the first project of this nature in the world on this scale and was won by the Joint-Venture in an International Competitive Bidding procedure.
