Coffee Precleaner
We make available Coffee Precleaner to our clients. This machine is used to clean and screen coffee, before feeding it to the next processing stage. It flawlessly removes iron particles, stones, sand, rubble, leaves, twigs and other impurities. It consists of a number of screens to provide separation. The first screen removing large impurities and the bottom screen removes the smaller ones like sand and dust. The middle screen separates and cleans the coffee. an Air Sifter is used after the precleaning to facilitate the efficiency of cleaning. A minimum level of maintenance is required by the machine, for this it has has individual rubber ball cleaning mechanisms. Various attributes like screen inclination, throw angle and amplitude can be varied, depending on the input product for optimum results. Two low power vibratory motors are used to create vibratory motion of the screen. Coffee Precleaner comes in Capacities ranging from 1000kg per hour to 2000 kg per hour and can be provided with a Closed Aspiration System or can be connected to a Central Aspiration Line. |

Dry Destoner
We offer Dry Destoners to our clients , which is extensively used for removing stones from green coffee, dry parchment or dry cherry. Its uses the difference between the specific weights the stones and the coffee, to feed the incoming coffee into an inclined sifting frame that comes fitted with a screen. This special screen is exposed to a controllable air exhaust. A fluid layer is formed that contains the good coffee, which flows out of the outlet leaving behind the heavier stones that move up-slope by the frame vibration. A vibratory motor is used to vibrate the sieve frame. These Dry Destoners contain an input feed regulation device and an aspiration throat to connect it to the central aspiration line or to an individual aspiration line with fan, cyclone, airlocks and piping. A butterfly control valve and read on a water gauge tube is used to adjust the vacuum above the sieve. The feed, aspiration intensity, throw angle setting, vibration amplitude, the fed and screen inclination can be regulated for optimum results, on the basis of the input material characteristics. Hullers (Africa)
Our customers can avail from us Hullers (Africa)that are primarily used to treat dry cherry. It contains a cylinder that comes fitted with feeding and hulling ribs secured in a strong casing. It has perforation in its lower portion that allows husk to be released into the husk chamber. The hulling is executed with the help of a triturating action between the hulling blade and the ribs on the cylinder. There is a provision for a number of ribs set at the feed end of the cylinder, which facilitates the feeding & allow the coffee to move from one end to the other. Hullers (Africa) contain three angular pieces called Lifters at its delivery end. These lifters are used to lift the coffee to the delivery spout. A fan is fitted in the feed end frame, which blows out all the shells and dust that falls in the husk chamber. In a larger models of Hullers (Africa), the lower region of dust casing is hinged for cleaning and changing of screens. The feed & delivery spouts come fitted with Regulators. This machine is provided with an input regulation device and an aspiration throat that connects it to a central aspiration line or to an individual aspiration line with fan, airlock, cyclone and piping. It comes with a butterfly control valve and read on a water gauge tube to adjust the vacuum above the sieve. The feed, aspiration intensity, throw angle setting, vibration amplitude, the fed and screen inclination can be regulated for optimum results, on the basis of the input material characteristics. Smout Peeler Polishers
We make available Smout Peeler Polishers to our customers, that are used for treatment of dry parchment coffee. They provide a fine polish and color to the coffee and can either be used for peeling and polishing or for only polishing to remove the silver skin. There is no need to pass the parchment via a huller before polishing because Smout Peeler Polishers performs both peeling and polishing operations simultaneously, which saves time. This machine comes with an intake Hopper, Hopper Slide Gate for feed regulation, flanged and sealed ball bearings. Smout Peeler Polishers also contains discharge spout with control door and a counter weight, suction fan and aspiration piping and shaft suitable for Electric Motor or Engine drive. It comes in capacities ranging from 25 kg per hour to 2000 kg per hour. We offer different models for hand operation and sampling purposes. This machine produces green coffee without bean breakage when the parchment is fed at the right moisture content. Closed Circuit Catador
McKINNON Dustless Closed Circuit Catadors are used for fine separation of heavy beans from light beans. They also separate dust, shells, immature beans, stones and extraneous matter from green coffee through suitable adjustments in operating speeds and air quantities. They are particularly suitable for removing beans which have been attacked by insects, or discolored beans which are generally lighter than the fully matured beans. By nature of their closed air circuit, these catadors ensure a dust free operation and help in preserving the factory environment.
Catadors are used after Hullers and Smout Peeler Polishers to remove husk and light coffee. They are also used after grading for secondary catadoring of light beans and triage. The coffee is fed into an air current where separation is carried out by density differences and the light matter is carried up and exited via the lights outlet. The heavy beans fall on a wire screen and exit through the front of the machine.
The machine is equipped with an electric motor platform and a shaft extension to suit Electric motor drive or can be supplied to suit a Diesel Engine drive.
The recommended capacity is 1000 kgs. per hour with operating speeds varying for separation of stones, separation of triage and separation of dust / chaff. Specifications:

Cylindrical Grader
McKINNON Cylindrical Graders offer a unique method of grading coffee. This is achieved through a combination of wire and perforated screen sections. The Cylindrical Grader is modular in construction and individual sections can be replaced, interchanged or redesigned to meet future market variations. The length of each modular section is determined according to the type of coffee being processed and the amount of each grade present in the input. The cylinders are provided with an internal spiral conveyor which conveys the coffee along the cylinder in a very uniform manner, thus ensuring very even and good results.
Cleaning brushes are provided immediately above the cylinder for the purpose of keeping maximum screening area at all times. The wire sections are made of specially drawn and hardened wire wound round a cylinder. Where no separation of special grades or peaberry is required, all sections are made of perforated sheets. Where peaberry separation is desired, the grader is configured with alternate wire and perforated sections. The graders are provided with input hopper with slide feed regulation device, individual outlet hoppers for each section, rails and hooks for bagging and spouting for further transport. Cylindrical Graders are suitable for Arabica and Robusta varieties.
Capacities range from 200 kgs. per hour up to 2000 kgs. per hour with cylinders from 12 inches to 30 inches in diameter and lengths from 9 feet to 18 feet. Graders can be configured to give up to nine separations and with twin or triple deck for easy repass and movement of coffee.
Cylindrical Grades also remove triage from parchment and dry cherry. Specifications:
