Adapter sleeves are supplied complete with lock nut and lock washer (or locking clip.) The dimensions of metric adapter sleeve conform to international standard ISO 113/I - 1979. We manufacture customized sleeve e.g. coated with phospating, modified inner diameter, stainless steel (SS304 & SS316) material, etc. Up to shaft dia 80 mm Metric V threads are provided on sleeve. Trapezoidal threads are provided on bigger sleeve having shaft dia 200 mm and above.

BND bearing housing are used for very demanding operating conditions. Preferred by belt conveyor application, it is used in processing industry like hard crushers, sugar cane mill drives, rotor shaft in wind turbine, etc

These are two–bearing housings where either DGBB, ACB or CRB are fitted at each end of housing to support an over hanging shaft, where, on extended shaft end a fan can be fitted thru coupling. It is important that the seating of two bearings at two ends are concentric and machined accurately in one setting. This feature is very important for vibration-free vibration of the assembly. The bearing can accommodate axial load in both directions in addition to radial loads and are suitable for relatively high speed operation. The PDN & PDD housings are supplied as assembled set consisting of housing body, grease nipple, covers with hexagonal screws & spring ring / Washer, snap ring, spacer sleeve (as the case may be), flinger rings, seal and O ring.

(Improved design allows the lubricant to pass through the housing directly to the center of bearings; which arrangement allows it possible for lubricant to reach the rolling surfaces of bearings quickly. Large drain hole under triple seal ensures positive flow of lubricant to reservoir in housing and prevent leakage of oil outside housing.

Withdrawal sleeves are used primarily to ease dismounting of bearings for shaft diameter up to 170 mm. Metric V threads are provided on outer diameter for unlocking. For shaft diameter bigger than 180 mm, Trapezoidal threads are provided.

Adapter Sleeves are supplied Complete with lock nut and lock washer (or locking clip.) Other types of Inch size sleeves available are:
• HE – For shaft diameter in multiple of ¼ & ½ inch.
• HA – For shaft diameter in multiple of 1/16 inch.
• HS – For shaft diameter in multiple of 7/8 inch.

OH design comes with oil injection hole to facilitate oil pressure for easy removal from bearing assembly. One oil supply duct at the threaded end is provided which opens in the distribution groove around circumference of outer diameter. Additional oil distribution grooves are there in axial direction on outside surface of bore.

Withdrawal sleeves having a bore diameter of 200 mm and above are supplied in AOH design which comes with Oil injection holes to facilitate oil pressure for easy removal of bearing from assembly. Two oil supply ducts at the threaded end are provided which opens in Distribution grooves around circumstance of outer diameter and inside diameter. Additional oil distribution grooves are there in axial direction on outside and inside surface of bore.

Combined features of SNA and SNH type give this housing improved design and allow increased load carrying capacity.

Lock Nuts are used along with Adapter Sleeve to locate bearing in position. While it facilitates to dismount bearing when used on Withdrawal Sleeve. MECO Lock Nuts are capable to be used directly on threaded shaft end to locate bearing or on tapered journals to dismount bearings.

Lock Nuts up to and including size KM40 (M200x3) have Metric V threads. While the larger nuts from size HML 41T have Trapezoidal where suffix ‘T’ indicates the same.

Lock Nuts are provided four or eight equally spaced slots around outer diameter to facilitate use of hook spanner.

These larger nuts from size Tr 220x4 to Tr 850x7 have Trapezoidal threads. Larger Lock Nuts are provided eight equally spaced slots around outer diameter to facilitate use of hook spanner. The locking clip is provided instead of lock washer. The locking clip is made of deep drawn steel strip. They are attached with larger nut using a nut with hexagonal head and a spring washer.

Felt Seal is normally used with bearing housing of variety SN, PDN, TVN, Flanged housing, SD500, SD600, SD30 series. For SDG type also felt seal is used along with labyrinth seal.

The felt is a simple and adequate seal with grease lubrication at peripheral speeds up to 4 m/s. It can be used at temperatures of -40 to +100 degree C. Felt seal is contact seal rubbing on shaft surface. It can also be used at higher speeds but a small gap will then generally be formed between the felt and the shaft, so that the sealing action becomes that of a non-rubbing gap- type seal.

The V-ring of synthetic rubber has a thin sealing lip which acts in an axial direction. The ring also servers as a flinger as it rotates with the shaft. This type of seal is effective under most operating conditions. V- ring is normally suitable for peripheral speeds up to 12 meter/sec although axial location for the v-ring must be provided at peripheral speeds in excess of 7meter/sec. Higher speeds than 12meter/sec can be permitted if the V-Ring body is also radially clamped, using a steel ring. The maximum permissible misalignment of the shaft is approximately 1.5. degree for a shaft diameter of 50 mm, which decrease to approximately 1 degree. for a shaft diameter of 150 mm.

Selection of seal for Bearing Housings should be done carefully since seal has very important role in functioning of bearing and bearing housing. An efficient seal adds to the life of a bearing by keeping dirt, dust, contamination and foreign particle outside the bearing housing whereas it prevents the lubricant from leaking out of bearing housing. To satisfy this basic requirement of a trouble-free bearing, a suitable Seal plays very important role.

Labyrinth Seal is used with SN, SNA, SNH, SNL, SD and SAF type housings. For large Plummer block housings, like SDJ, SDG SBD, THD types, the Labyrinth Seal is the preferred choice. For SOFN housings the labyrinth seals are supplied with internal design having additional external oil traps and are called ‘Sealing Collar’

Locking Washers are used with smaller nuts up to shaft diameter 260 mm. For larger nut Locking Clips of design MS are used. Locking clips are supplied with a hexagonal head screw and spring Washer.

Double Lip Seal is used with SNA, SNH and SNL housings. It is split type, which makes mounting and dismounting simple. It is made of poly-urethane (synthetic rubber), a wear-resistant material with excellent resilient properties.

But still there is necessity for Tailor made Plummer Block Housing for very specific requirement of industrial application. Such requirement arises due to space constrain or weight limitation combined with thermal, vibration or shock load application. At times heavier load than specified value also calls for customized design of Plummer block housing

TVN Plummer block housings are designed to accommodate loads acting at right angle to the support surfaces. They are widely used on light rail-bound trucks like transfer platform in steel plant.
To be able to carry permissible load it is important that the foundation bolts in the base are correctly tightened. If the loads act at other angels (than right angle to base) it is necessary to check that the housings and the foundation bolts will withstand the loads
