Among its many achievements that Meenakshi Energy can proudly claim is the successful construction of 37 MW Hydel Power plants in Orissa which has been already sold through a forward contract for 30 years through PTC India Limited. Our Thermal initiatives are being forerun in the form of an implementation of a 900 MW coastal Thermal Power Project at Krishnapatnam in Andhra Pradesh. The first phase of the Project (300 MW) has been configured in a unique “part tolling-part merchant “ configuration with PTC India Limited. The renewable energy initiatives include a strategy of owning up capacities by setting up small biomass units, small hydro plants as well as wind energy projects as well as adopting the acquisition route to expand existing configurations prevalent at such sites.
