Copper-nickel alloy C70600, an alloy of 90% copper and 10% nickel, is inherently corrosion resistant to road salt, and it is use as brake tubing because of the following reasons.
1) Changing life-expectancy for automotive vehicles 2) Worldwide service-experience data on brake tubing wear 3) Increasing cost of corrosion-retarding coatings for steel brake tubing.
It is widely used due to the following properties.
Resistance to corrosions
Ductile
Strong
Easy to install and mould
Can be hardened only by cold working
Has low temperature co-efficient of electrical resistance
The nickel content helps the alloys to retain strength even at elevated temperatures, owing to which the tubes find application in heat exchangers, condensers, evaporators, distiller tubes, ship building and repairs.
Copper-nickel brake tubing provides superior reliability and assures both manufacturers and vehicle owners improved durability for effective long-life functioning of the brake system.
Widely used in condensers, coolers and heat exchangers where resistance to corrosion and erosion is paramount, yet maintaining a high thermal conductivity rate. To be used preferably in marine conditions, as it forms a protective film which is multi-layered in flowing seawater. Resists marine bifouling. Cooling water speed 2.5 m/s; working temperature c. 250 deg.-C.
These admiralty brass tubes are renowned for their characteristic of superior corrosion resistance in a moderately polluted river water and clean seawater, both stagnant or slow moving water. The most common and wrought form is tube for heat exchange equipment. These tubes are extensively used in various applications including; evaporators, condensate coolers, heaters, vent condensers, water heaters, generator, air coolers, turbine oil coolers for petrochemical, ship-building, power plants, desalinations plants etc.
We offer aluminum brass tubes that have impeccable track record in the market. Our products are extensively used for various industrial applications, it is particularly used for condenser and heating coil systems.
The use of superior quality raw materials and latest technique results in the production of tubes with excellent surface finish, high durability and strength. These tubes come in various wall thickness and diameter .They are used in manufacturing of automobiles parts, water heaters, sanitary products, stove burners, ball pens, refills, general engineering parts, furniture, lightning fixtures etc. Some of the features of brass tubes which make them an obvious choice are flexibility, resistance to corrosion, easy joining and its availability in long lengths.
We have the skill & necessary knowhow for the production of integrated fin tubes & can manufacture the same as per your requirements. These tubes incorporate an integral fin (rather than an applied fin) which is rolled up from the wall of the tube. This method of rolling fins from thick wall tubes is well established as a method of reducing size and cost of heat exchangers. The Low type of finned tube is used for heat exchanging in commercial units, for condensation, evaporation, and the cooling and heating of liquid and gas, including water, oil, steam and air. These tubes, in addition to the homogenous fin, also incorporate an internal corrugation which together lead to the following advantages:
Heat is led in an unbroken path between the tube wall and the fin.
Triangular cross section of the fin improves heat transfer and reduces the risk of deposits.
Internal corrugations improve the heat transfer when used in conjunction with fluids.
It's highly used in cable terminal copper plugs & connectors, due to inherent properties of copper metals. Stringent new requirements, including demands for increased operating efficiency and the reduction or elimination of harmful emissions, have led to a new appreciation for copper's role in product enhancement.
Improved corrosion resistance and almost insensitive to stress corrosion, this alloy will give superior results in high velocity polluted water, including seawater. A reduced thermal conductivity level, but will retain its strength at moderately increased temperatures. Cooling water speed up to 4.5 m/s. In most applications, a cupronickel alloy obtains its corrosion resistance by forming an adherent oxide coating that is preferably formed by clean, oxygenated water, at least initially.
Ferrous sulfate is sometimes recommended to passivate the surface and form this film. This film can become unstable under stagnant conditions, such as would exist for the entire tube if the water flow is turned off, or for areas of the tube covered by debris.
We are a large manufacturer of red copper tubes. A common element in its highest purity level of 99.999%. You hardly get hold of such a rare material ever. Copper is radiologically safe.
