About Us

It all started about 150 year ago when our great grandfather opened a small shop in Ahmedabad, Trading in various hosiery articles. As the years passed by, this small business grew leaps and bounds and soon spread to every nook and corner of India.
Based on his vast experience and futuristic far-sightedness, our father Mr.Abdullabhai A Topiwala started a small hosiery factory in 1937. The products made in this factory soon started earning a name for its quality and price. The trade name "Menit" was registered as a trademark in 1947. At this point of time, we were manufacturing socks, under garment and banians.
Over the period of time, we realised that this line of manufacturing is also getting more and more technical in specific ways. As a result of that, we took a principle decision to concentrate on under garment only. Since 1968, we started full fledged in this direction, manufacturing under garments for ladies. This decision resulted in modernization of the manufacturing facility, which in turn fueled the modernization process of the plant and machinery. We were amongst the first manufacturers in India to install some of the most modern sewing machines from M/S. PEGASUS SEWING MACHINE CO. PTE. LTD., Japan and since then ,there is no looking back for "Menit"
