Testing and Quality Control
At Star, quality is a way of life. Right from sourcing of raw materials to logistics and on-site support service, we religiously follow total quality management principles. At each step of production our products undergo an array of sophisticated quality control tests.

Measurements
The Mean outside diameter. Outside diameter at any point.

Opacity Test
This test determines the optical characteristics of plastics like transmission of light through the specimen. Star UPVC Pipes resist sunlight passing through the pipe wall and eliminate fungi growth. This test ensures that the pipe walls do not pass more than 0.2% of the light incident on them.

Effect on Water
Pipes shall not have any detrimental effect on the composition of water flowing through them. This test is carried out to ensure that raw materials used to manufacture the pipe do not contaminate water with toxic substances. Purity of water is tested.

Reversion Test
This test ensures that UPVC pipes are manufactured with dies of correct measurements.
