Metabo's history stretches over more than three quarters of a century. It is mainly the history of a search for the most robust products with the longest service life.

In 1924, at the eve of the economic depression of those times, Albrecht Schnizler, and his business partner Julius Closs co-founded Schnizler GmbH. They wanted to manufacture tools that would meet the higher demands of an increasingly engineered world better than most of the tools that existed at that time. Walter Rauch, a great salesman, entered the business in 1927. Today, the descendants of the three founders are still Metabo Group shareholders.

In 1929, the company was transformed into Metabowerke GmbH. The name of Metabo derives from the term used in Germany for hand drills back then: Metallbohrdreher (metal turning drills).

Metabo started the operations in India since the year 2004, and has been leading supplier of quality power tools to the industry. Our wide range is widely appreciated amongst our domestic clients for features like marathon motor, VTC, Safety clutch, MVT and Auto balancer.

On top of that we also ensure spare parts are available for machines eight years after being discontinued from the range. Metabo Extra Long Life Marathon Motor:
Most of the Metabo power tools are provided with metabo extra long life marathon motor i.e., the armature is provided with a protection grid and field coil has powder coated windings. These are specially designed to resist motor damage from overheating and abrasive particle bombardment. Marathon motors can last up to twice longer than other power tool motors under similar conditions.

Automatic Safety Clutch:
Metabo automatic safety clutch comes into play by slipping the gears whenever a drill bit or grinding wheel gets jammed during work. This ensures safety to the operator as well as the tool.

VTC Electronics:
This feature automatically increases power output to maintain motor speed constant even under heavy loads. This ensures optimum utilization of consumables and higher productivity.

Auto-stop Carbon Brushes:
Automatically switches the grinder off when the carbon brush’s wear limit is reached. Power tools without this feature often suffer damage to the motor and require replacement of motor parts.

Quick:
Allows you to change consumables quickly and safely without the use of spanner.

Ergonomic Design:
All Metabo tools are ergonomically designed so that they can be used comfortably in any environment hour after hour without much fatigue to the operator.
