About Us

The metecno group was founded in milan, italy, over 40 years ago - in 1960 to be exact - via the constitution of a small engineering company known as metallotechnica Italian s. N. C. , currently known as metecno spa.

following numerous expansion plans programmed for the group, in october 1971 a new company was founded: the netherlands-based holding metecno international bv.


This was achieved through company growth, commencing from within, but also the result of a series of important takeovers throughout the world which were able to launch metecno into the lofty position of a worldwide company.

in 1986, the us group controlled by the metec inc holding was incorporated under the name delaware, following takeover ofalumashield industries inc. , a company at the time in the grip of the Florida market. The revenue achieved in the first half-year of business of the us group was 8 million dollars, whereas 2000 recorded an increase of 130 million dollars due to an internal company growth process and to takeovers performed in the meantime.
