Incepted in the year 2000, M. G. Engineering Works is one of the leading manufacturers, suppliers and service providers of air engineering equipment for humidification and ventilation plants. Our assortment is specially designed and fabricated to ensure no rusting, minimal maintenance and lowest replacement cost.

Our Mentor - Mr. Senthil Kumar

The organization was founded under the able guidance of Mr. Senthil Kumar who started his career as Erection cum sales engineer, and has a professional commitment and technical ingenuity in the domain. His commitment and initiative in this process acted as the foundation that led him to become Regional Manager in South India. 

His individual experience has helped us to merge into a new area of undertaking turnkey projects in the field of humidification in the year 2003. The manufacturing unit was subsequently established in Vellalore, Coimbatore, under the name of M/s. M. G. Engineering works, for latest state-of-the-art humidification & ventilation plants.

The use of the latest technology and sophisticated processes has made it possible for him to meet the level of professionalism in the 'humidification and ventilation system in the textile industry'.

Quality Assurance
We follow a quality assurance policy in our establishment which covers all the aspects of the production of our air engineering equipment. As per this policy, we follow various measures throughout the design, engineering, execution, manufacturing, procurement of "bought out" items, erection, commissioning & testing of the equipment.

Design & Engineering
The system is designed by our experts only after the receipt of orders from the clients. After this, we also submit different parameters to the customers. Various steps followed in the design and engineering process are tabulated below:
 
Design Input
We prepare the detailed drawings that are collected from consultant/client or from tender, the detail drawings are prepared for air distribution system, plant rooms and equipment. After this our designer sorts out the items and further technical data sheets of manufactured and bought out.
Review
We make a final review of the designs / drawings / data sheets that are approved by sr. Personnel and further implemented with necessary recommendation and changes.
Design Output
After doing a review, we send the final drawings / data sheets for comment and approval. We further revise the drawings and data sheets based on the comments and execute them finally. For the effectiveness of the office our office is fully computerized.




Manufacturing
When the receipt of order is finally accepted, we submit the quality assurance plans of the self manufactured items to customer / consultant. After the approval of the manufacturing clearance, we receive the QAP & drawing from the client’s side.

Right from procurement of raw material to final testing of product, we follow QAP and maintain all the records for customer / consultant review. We then proceed to the final testing of equipment, as per the approved data sheet / drawings to the customer / consultant by factory inspection department.

After receiving material dispatch clearance from customer / consultant, we deliver the raw material.

The material is used in the development of our air engineering equipment for humidification & ventilation plants. Various efficient machines also assists in the manufacturing process, some of these machines are as follows:

  • Lathe

  • Shaping
  • Welding
  • Finishing




Procurement of "Bought Out" Items
During meticulous engineering, the technical data sheet of the equipment to be purchased is submitted to the customer / consultant for its approval. This is done after the receipt of the order.

After getting the said approval, items are ordered of approved make only. In case a new make of item is to be ordered, then its approval is taken from customer / consultant.

Other subsequent steps followed in this process are as follows:


  • Required documents from the supplier / manufacturer of the items to be purchased are submitted to customer/consultant.
  • After getting manufacturing clearance and approval of documents, we give manufacturing clearance and all the documents to the supplier
  • All documents related to inspection & testing are checked by our inspection department before offering the items to customer / consultant
  • Material are dispatched only after receiving the material dispatch clearance from customer / consultant




ECT (Erection, Commissioning & Testing)
After the material is received, it needs necessary inspection as per material dispatch list and any shortage or damage has to be notified. During unloading and handling, care must be exercised to prevent damage or distortion. For that good rigging techniques should be applied and further storage area has to be selected with a good level.
 
The equipment is stored in open atmosphere and should be put on wooden bars and covered with tarpaulin. Some of the electrical items like motors, starters, cables and other non ferrous small items should be stored in covered shed with outmost care. Our experts carry out periodic inspection of equipment to check any rusting or damage due to atmospheric conditions.
 
 
ERECTION
We provide a copy of approved field quality plan to all site engineers. All the erection manual for the bought out item to be made available at site. The executions of the plans are carried out strictly as per the instruction in the manual and records to be maintained as per the field quality plan.
TESTING
We test the plan and equipment and further carried out as per the approved test procedure. We record all the result of temperature, humidity overpressure, air quantities and power consumption of all motors.




Execution
We prepare the project plans for proper execution of the project. We follow following steps while executing the plans:

  • Preparation of bar charts
  • Preparation of bill of quantity on receipt of finally approved drawing / data sheet (for procurement)
  • Creating and sending a separate bill of quantity for self manufactured items, bought out equipment and material, directly to the site
  • Giving billing break-up to customer for their approval
  • Completion of various commercial aspects of the projects such as bank guarantee, security deposit and others, as per the terms of the order
  • Forwarding copies all these documents to the offices responsible to carry out the site activities till completion of project
