GRE Granite surface plate is the result of extremely careful and highly specialized finishing work based on many years of experience on the part of experts in the field of high precision Surface plate Manufacture.

GRE Granite Surface Plates are manufactured from hardest granite available in South India. The density of black Granite with its high hardness ensures greater resistance to wear. The special structures of material combined with our fixing of BALL INSERTS ensures greater Stability

GRE Granite Surface Plates are extremely heavy built with Higher Thickness. This provides special advantages, in terms of rigidity of a body increases by the cube law related to its thickness

GRE Granite Plates have well defined radiused edges and corners, for protection against shock while loading. The smooth matt polished exteriors impart a Pleasing appearance on the Plates. The measuring Surfaces are finished to a high standard of flatness with close Micro-structure and for Wear resistance.

T slotted Surface Plates with mounted Centres could also be offered for calibration and other end uses.

GRE' Cast Iron hand scraped Surface Plate conforms to IS 2285. These Plates are manufactured in various sizes and grades to suit customer's exact requirements. Grade I being PRECISION HAND SCRAPED and Grade II plates accurately finish machined to tolerance.

GRE Surface Plates are made of close grained Cast Iron to IS 210 Grade FG 200 (IS 210) with Hardness 170 --200 BHN. Adequate care has been taken in the design of Ribbing to meet requirements of IS, BS, DIN specifications. These are artificially seasoned as recommended by IS 2285 and BS 817 and hand scraped very accurately, so that, the error in flatness over any 100mm distance shall not exceed as per details furnished hereunder.

Surface Plates are also supplied with one or more T slots as per customer's need at extra cost.

GRE Surface Plates are Provided with top protection cover . and for smaller plates lifting handles are provided. Sizes over 1200 x 900 mm are provided with lifting studs / holes. Cast Iron floor stands or fabricated stand is supplied with leveling screws along with 'GRE' Plates at extra cost.

Cast iron T Slotted Floor Plates are also manufactured to suit customer's requirements and for varied application. Plate size 2000 x 1500 mm onwards up to 4000 x 1500 mm and combination thereof are under our manufacturing programme.

Bed Plates and Auxiliary Plates for Horizontal Boring Machines are also manufactured to conform to IS 10602-83. These are combination type plates and manufactured with square side faces, so that, when one or more plates are combined, large configuration could thus be obtained.

GRE' make Tilting Angle Plates are made of close grained casting to IS 210-FG 200.

Both Top and Bottom faces are HAND SCRAPED to close tolerances as per specification cited hereunder.

Top plate is provided with 'T' slots as per IS 2013 : 74 to facilitate easy clamping.Bottom Plate is also provided with suitable elongated holes for quick clamping.Collars both in Top and Bottom Plates are accurately HORIZONTAL BORED and fitted with Hardened Ground Bushes made of Quality steel.Suitable wear pads are provided for friction less movement.

These are Graduated from 0 Degree-90 Degree and provision of Indicating Finger facilities quick setting .Rigid locking is ensured by two nuts.

Top protrction Cover is provided with each plate.

Bench Centre base and Heads are made of special Grey iron Casting to withstand Heavy Duty application. Bases are Precision Hand scraped as per IS 5980 : 95

One head(L.H) is fixed and the other (RH) head is movable.

This could be locked in any position for convenience and go on to inspect the component. All moving parts are made of OHNS steel and heat treated to minimize wear.

The rear T slot provided is cut parallel to axis of centers to accommodate one or more Dial Stands for checking the concentricity of component. This portion of the Base is also hand scraped to ensure flatness.

The rear platform is raised and the side of it made square to base, to enable heads take reference from this again and again. This ensures coaxility to be maintained even if the base is wornout due to continuous working. Two dead centres are provided as standard accessories.
Revolving Centres / Femal Centres could also be supplied at extra cost, LONGER BENCH CENTRES and Special Heads to suit individual applications could also be manufactured against specific orders.

GRE Cast Iron hand scraped Angle and Box Angle Plates are manufactured to conform to IS 6232:/2564:71(BSS 3080).These are made from hard close grained castings (FG 200-IS 210)Grade I is precision hand Scraped and Grade II accurately finish machined.

All GRE Angle and Box Angle plates are provided with suitable number of elongated holes on the working surface to facilitate clamping.T slots on Angle Plates can be provided on the working surface at extra cost.Unmachined faces are painted grey.

Precision Angles and Box Angles Plates to IS 6973:73and6985:73 are also manufactured by us against specific orders,when accuracies are closer than specified under IS 6232:and 2554:71

GRE Box Angle Plates are also manufactured as matched pairs to suit individual needs and are supplied at extra cost.

Special Angle and Box Angle Plates can be manufactured with either plain faces ,plain slots or T slots to customers requirements.

GRE' Camel back and I Section Straight Edges are manufactured in various sizes to suit individual requirements.

These are made from high quality close Grained Cast Iron to IS 210 FG 200.

These are adequately ribbed to avoid deflection. Accuracy is achieved by HAND SCRAPING to within IS 5268:69 tolerances. Polished Wooden Cover is supplied to protect working surface at extra cost.
